Can dogs be in a dog stroller on the Boardwalk? One will be strapped in and not walking in a leash. I also have a mini Chihuahua that I will have in an over-the-shoulder sling. She will be strapped in as well and not walking. Is this allowed?

No, dogs cannot be on the boardwalk in a stroller or similar at this time of year. dogs are not allowed on the boardwalk or beach anytime between 1 May and 1 October. None of what you describe is allowed during this time of year.

Other than at Seacrets, where are there good viewing areas for fireworks? How far away can I get and still see them? Is Northside Park a suitable viewing location with young children?

If you are talking about the 4th of July Fireworks, then yes, Northside Park is a great location for the uptown event (Seacrets actually is not). You can see these fireworks pretty well from most areas north of about 100th Street.

If you want to go to the downtown event, any area along the boardwalk or beach south of 14th Street is a good option.

Both are fine events for kids, but they do get crowded and it is easy to loose a kid - I speak from experience, we (briefly) lost one one year at Northside Park. I also recommend bringing a blanket or chairs to sit on no matter where you go.

Hello Insiders! Is there a place in Ocean City where you can drive on the beach?

No, you cannot drive on the beach anywhere in OC (although maybe once or twice a year there is a surf fishing or similar event that allows it for registered participants with lots of restrictions). You can drive on specific areas of the beach on Assateague if you get an Over Sand Vehicle (OSV) permit. See this page for more info.

I do not believe there are any scooter rental places directly on the boardwalk, but  Boardwalk Segways, now located in the Lankford Hotel between 8th and 9th Streets, rents Segways and Mobility Scooters. Call them at 410.289.1203 for more info.

Here are a few other places in town that rent scooters:

OC Fun Cycles -North of 26th Street on Coastal Highway

Cycle City - 31st Street on Coastal Highway

OC Scooter Rentals - 58th Street at OdysseaWatersports

Im visiting during Firemen's Week later in June and wanted to know if the inlet parking lot ever closes or has limited parking for this event. Thanks!

There are no restrictions for parking at the inlet during the convention. The Fireman's Convention actually takes place at the Convention Center on 40th St.   So you will have no problems parking at the inlet at any time.

What can you tell us about the Seacrets Distillery Tours? Are there any other tours in town like it?

I've been on the Seacrets Distillery tour twice and it is really great. The building itself is amazing, the tour guides are well informed, and the speak-easy at the end is fantastic. There is also a good chance you will meet Seacret's owner, Leighton Moore, who is a really nice guy. This distillery is clearly a labor of love on his part that he put a lot of his personal touch, planning, and money into. I highly recommend the tour. It costs $10/person and takes just under an hour. You must be 21 to take the tour or enter the building. You can signup for the tour here or by calling 410.524.2669.

There are several local breweries and wineries in the area, and many of them offer tours and tastings. Click on the links, and check one or more of them out!

If I'm coming from Washington D.C., is there any other way to get to Ocean City avoiding the Bay Bridge? Thanks!

I live outside Washington. Yes, you can avoid the Bay Bridge, but it will increase your trip time by about 60 to 90 minutes. You need to head north of Baltimore on I-95 and go around the north side of the bay. The easiest way is to take I-95 north to Delaware Route 1 south. Take Delaware Route 1 south to Milford, DE and get on  Route 113 south. You can take Route 113 to Route 90 East or Route 50 east to get to OC.

Are there any locations that offer water tubing for large groups (up to 10 people)? Is this something that some boat rental shops specialize in?

If you're looking for new postcards of Ocean City, I would imagine that any Sunsations would be willing to sell them and mail them to you. http://sunsationsusa.com/

You could also give the Life Saving Station Museum a call and see if they can help  you.  http://www.ocmuseum.org/index.php/site/shop

If you are looking for older or vintage postcards, ebay and Etsy are good resources for those.
