About Me: I am a mother of two children and a grandmother of one beautiful little girl and one beautiful little boy. I have been married to my first sweetheart for 38 years and still live in the same house we bought when we got married. And I have a 7 year old kitty named George. I am retired from a bank, and my husband is a retired steelworker.
Times Visited Ocean City: Too many to count. At least 4 times a year for the last 20 years.
What do you love about Ocean City: EVERYTHING! I love to wake up in the morning with the sunrise. I love the sound of the ocean at night when I'm going to sleep. I love to just sit on the beach under my umbrella and watch the people and the waves and the planes flying over with their silly banners. I love the boardwalk where I can walk for miles. I love to browse in all the different little shops and sample all the different foods on the boards from cannolli to french fries . I love the sounds and excited energy in the daytime on the boards, and the slower pace at night of tired parents and children trying to squeeze just one more minute into their day. I love all the diversity and flavors of the foods in OC. There isn't anything you can't find there. From popcorn and ice cream to lobster and filet mignon! Greek, French, Italian, American, it's all there. I love that there is always something to do. Mini golf, arcade games, strolling, fishing, crabbing, flying a kite, renting a bike, renting a scooter, rent a jet ski, shop,go for a ride on the sea rocket, golf, golf, golf! I love seeing what new sand sculpture the sand artist produces from year to year. I love the boardwalk performers from the guy who plays the violin to the man with the dinosaur marionette who scares the children and makes the teenage girls jump. I think OC has it all. And the thing I love the most is that it's close! I don't have to drive 12 hours to Myrtle Beach or 10 hours to Virginia Beach. OC is just a short 6 hours away. And if I could, it would be my home.

Q: What attractions are available for the week of April 18th to April 25th?
A: Those dates run from Wednesday to Wednesday, so during the week you won't find tons open but the weekend will find the boardwalk busy. The shops and places like Thrashers and Fisher's will be open on the weekend for sure. But the big rides and amusements won't open till May.
You can always:
play mini golf. There are 2 indoor courses on 68th and 136th St.
ice skate : Carousel Hotel has indoor ice skating with skates available to rent
play laser tag: Planet Maze is open year round
rent a bike, rollerblade, or just walk on the boardwalk
Sweet Adelines Convention at the Convention Center
Susan G Komen Race for the Cure beginning at the inlet on the 22nd.
visit Assateague Island and the nature center there
shop at the Ocean City Outlets

Q: When do the rides on the boardwalk open?
A: Jolly Roger has on their website that they will open the pier rides for Easter weekend, but then close till May. The other rides don't open till later in May. But the indoor rides for the little ones will be open at almost anytime, especially on the weekends.
