Q: Is there anything open on the boardwalk right now, we are coming March 2, 2012.

A: it truly depends on the weather...there are some stores and restaurants that remain open on the weekends regardless. take your chance...you may discover an unknown place because there are fewer choices!

Q: Can you bring a 10X10ft canopy to the beach instead of an umbrella?

A: yes you can...however, like the others have said, def. set up behind the lifeguard stand. also, keep in mind that they do take up a lot of room, so other guests are appreciative if you arent on top of them.
