About Me: I have been coming to Ocean City for my whole life since I was less than one year old. I chose my college just to be close to the beach as well as living down here while at college and during the summers. My whole family loves the beach. My kids also have turned into little beach bums and for this I am proud!
Times Visited Ocean City: 45+ days a year
What do you love about Ocean City: The beach, sunny days, warm sea breezes, reading, relaxing, enjoying God's creation, letting the waves and water wash away all stress and anxiety, eating, strolling the boards, building sand castles with my son and daughter, fishing, seashell hunts on the beach, etc. The seashore is like medicine. It takes all your stress away. From the cleansing affect of the ocean to the gentle sea breezes and warm sand below your feet. Top it off with a stroll down the world famous boardwalk!

Q: Is there public transportation going to OC from NYC?
A: There is no public transportation but if you go to www.greyhound.com and travel mid week from Penn Staion in NYC, you can get a web only special for a one way ticket  For under $57 to Ocean City.  Traveling on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, the fare jumps to $62.  The downside of this is that the trip is 24 hours long.
Q: When are dogs allowed to walk on the beach and boardwalk with their owners?
A: Dogs are allowed on the beach and boardwalk with their owners and on a leash from  October 1st to April 30th.

If you are in Ocean City in Septemebr and want your dog to experience the beach, the federal side of Assateague Island allows dogs on a leash year round.
