Why are smoking room so hard to find? My family and I have been coming to Ocean City for years and it seems over the last 3 years, smoking rooms are getting harder to find.

I think this is part of an overall trend that is limiting where people can smoke.

The Holiday Inn on 67th Street has smoking and non-smoking rooms.

The Flamingo allows smoking on your balcony, but not in your room.

John,

I am a smoker, and as you know, society is rapidly changing their view on people who smoke... from prices for cigarettes, to the public places... even outdoor venues we are allowed to smoke.  As you are also aware, many businesses, hotels/motels/condos have gone smoke free because of the impact of the societal preception toward smokers.... that being said, check out the Spinnaker Motel on 18th Street and Baltimore Avenue... they still have smoking rooms.  http://www.purnellproperties.com/spinnaker (410) 289-5444

As Bill mentioned, most places are making it harder for smokers to find a place to smoke.  I was in OC recently and read  that they were throwing around the idea to ban smoking on the beaches also as many other beaches have already done.

The Grand Hotel on 21st Stree also has smoking rooms.  I believe the Admiral Hotel on 8th does as well.

John,

Here is a listing of hotels that I believe still offer non-smoking and smoking rooms:

The Grand
Princess Royale
Spinnaker
Quality Inn
as well as many of the smaller hotels/motels offer non-smoking and smoking rooms (or designated smoking areas).

However, if your hotel is smoke free, they usually provide information on designated smoking areas for your convenience.

Thank you,
Anna G.
