To sleep six I highly recommend a condo. You will be able to get 3BR, 2 bath, and a full kitchen with no problem. You can search the sites listed below, but I often find it is more effective to call the reality company and talk to them directly about what you are looking for. Here are two reality companies I have used that I've been very happy with:

Shoreline Properties: 800.492.5832  http://www.shorepro.com/weekly_week_rental.php
Coldwell Banker: 800.633.1000   http://www.cbvacations.com/vacationrentals/SearchProp.aspx

In terms of places I'd recommend, I like mid town. Surf's Edge (66th, ocean front), Surfcaster (64th, ocean front), and Sunset Island (67th, bayside) all have 3BR 2 bath units that hold 6 ore more. Sunset Island is a great community with single family houses, town homes, and condos. All of the condos are virtually identical, all have 3BR and 2 full baths. They hold 6 people easily. They have large kitchen and living room areas. The houses and townhouses are bigger. Sunset Island is an easy walk to the beach, and has lots of amenities including private bayside beaches, a cafe (with live entertainment most nights), a store, a gym, and indoor and outdoor pools.

Are there any RV parks close to the beach?

If you want to be right on the beach I recommend renting at Assateague Island.  They have full service hook-ups just behind the sand dunes and in view of the ponies.  It is a great place to camp.

Hello, I am looking for accommodations in Ocean City for a mid-week 3-night stay in August 2011 for a family of five (2 adults, 3 children under 12). I am primarily concerned with getting a the best price possible, and location, in which we would like to be away from major activity but still be on a beach front. Would like to hear any recomendations you may have. Thanks

Hello there. I would recommend the carousel which is down on 117th that's away from major activity and it's a beach front hotel. You can also go to www.ocpackages.com and fill in your dates in august to see what you like. The clarion is another great place down away from major activity. Or if you want to travel over to west ocean city the francis scott key has some wonderful hotel rooms for a family of 5 over there. plus they have some great activities for kids. I hope this helps you.

The Serene is pet friendly as are several other hotels and properties including the ones listed here:  http://www.bringfido.com/lodging/city/ocean_city_md_us/.  Best of luck and enjoy your vacation.

CAN YOU RECOMMEND AN EXCELLENT CLEAN OCEANFRONT VACATION RENTAL THAT CAN ACCOMMODATE AT LEAST 15-21 PEOPLE WITH A FULL KITCHEN? I NEED ACCOMMODATIONS NEAR OR IN THE CENTER OF ALL THE BEACH ACTIVITIES DINERS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES FOR THE CHILDREN OF ALL AGES (02 MONTHS-61 YEARS) TRAVELING WITH ME.

That will be a great vacation group!  The great thing about OC is that everyone in your group (from 2months to age 61) will be able to find something that they enjoy.

As for accommodations, quite honestly the best suggestion I can give is to contact one of the local vacation rental agencies (ie Coldwell Banker, Central Reservations, etc.).  You will provide them with all your needs (location, budget, dates, amenities, bedding, etc.) and they will in turn provide you with a listing of available units to meet your needs.

My personal favorite as to vacation rental agencies is Coldwell Banker (www.cbvacations.com).  We work with them year after year and they never disappoint us.  The rental specialist we work with is Breezy Kammermaier - please feel free to contact her if you wish.  She can be reached at 800-633-1000.

Thank you and have a great vacation!

Check out www.ocean-city.com and visit their book a hotel page.  Not only will you find current specials, but if you book through their site you may be eligible for great free certificates for restaurants, attractions, and activities.  Great way to stretch your vacation budget.

The other suggestion is http://ococean.com/rodney-saves/accommodations

Have a great vacation - don't miss the free movies on the beach, sundaes in the park, and Sunset Park party nights.

Contact a local vacation rental agency to speak to one of their agents.  Provide all your specifics (ie bedding, location, budget, amenities, dates, etc.) and they will give you a listing of available units. You can find a great listing on www.ococean.com, but a few suggestions are Long and Foster, Central Reservations, Holiday Real Estate and Coldwell Banker Vacations.

My personal favorite is Coldwell Banker Vacations.  You can visit their website at www.cbvacations.com or call the office at 800.633.1000.  If you call, ask for Breezy Kammermaier.  She has helped us on several occasions find the perfect location for our summer vacation.

Where is the cheapest place to rent bed linens and towels?I feel the linen packages you can rent when you book your condo with the realtors are a bit pricey.

Couple suggestions on linens:

1.  OC Beach and Linen Rental Agency (http://www.ocbeachandlinenrental.com/).
2.  Concierge by the Sea (http://www.conciergebythesea.com/)
3.  Stop at a Walmart on your way and pick up required linens for your vacation.
4.  Visit the local Rose's once you arrive - great store to find reasonably
priced items to meet all your needs.

We normally bring our own linens for bedding and bath and sometimes will purchase new beach towels during our vacation as a souvenier.

Hope this helps,
