Check out the Seacrets hotel (http://hotel.seacrets.com/) it is next to Seacrets which will be a great location for you.  Seacrets has a great atmosphere, dance club, outdoor areas, and lots of bars.

Have a great time!

We would like to stay one night (Saturday) on memorial day weekend this year. To make things more difficult we will have our pup with us. Any suggestions of places we can stay??? The 26th is my bday and I would love to spend the night there instead of having to be traveling back home.

It is likely to be tough to find a place for one night for the holiday weekend, especially with a dog. There are only a few places in OC that take pets. Here are a few of them:

Safari Hotel at 13th Street is ocean front on the boardwalk. (www.safarimotel.net)

Clarion Fontainebleau - Ocean front, 101st Street. This is a great large property with lots of amenities. Most of the rooms are ocean and bay view. This is the only property on this list open year round and is the one where you most likely will be able to find a room (www.clarionoc.com/)

Coastal Palms Inn and Suites - Ocean block 120th Street. Recently taken over by the Carousel and completely redone. Staying here provides access to many of the Carousel's amenities (just 2 blocks away). Also has an outdoor pool and free loaner beach chairs (www.coastalpalmshotel.com)

Barefoot Mailman - Ocean block on 35th Street. (www.barefootmailman.com/)

Windjammer Apartments - Ocean front, 46th Street. A nice older property with studio, 1BR, 2BR, and 3BR apartments. I stayed there for many years. (www.ocwindjammer.com)

I assume you are aware that dogs are not allowed on the OC beach or boardwalk or beach anytime from 1 May to 30 September.

Hope it works out for you, and you have a great birthday celebration in OC!

I have two options depending on where you want to stay. The first is the Fenwick Inn or Econo Lodge - both are family friendly and moderately priced; the second option is the Francis Scott Key hotel. All three should keep you comfortable for your entire stay!

That is hard to answer not knowing what amenities you are looking for or your budget.  My best advice would be to go to www.ococean.com and do a search under lodging.  You will also find information on individual hotel amenities and pricing there. Some of my favorite boardwalk hotels:  The Stowaway, Holiday Inn on 17th, and the Howard Johnson on 24th was a comfortable place to stay as well.  Good luck!

Comfort Inn Suites
Safari Motel
Barefoot Mailman
Or check www.bringfido.com for more listings.
But please remember that dogs are NOT permitted on the beach or the boardwalk after May 1 until October 1 and must be kept on a leash at all times in OC.

The boardwalk begins well before 1st St, actually S 1st St. There are 6 or so named streets(Worcester, Somerset, S.Division, Talbot, Dorcester, Caroline ) or blocks before you even get to 1st St. But in total it is almost 3 miles long. It ends at 27th St.
Check www.ocean-city.com or www.oceancity.com for hotels with pools that are on the boardwalk.
The ones that I know of off the top of my head are:
Commander on 14th
Comfort Inn on 6th
Hotel Monte Carlo 3rd/oceanside

My wife and I were thinking of going to OC around the 3rd week of June. We've never been but heard how nice it is there. We would like to stay on the beach but would like to keep it around a 100 dollars a night or less. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations?

Yes, go to www.ocean-city.com, punch in your dates and see whats available and rates.
You can do the same at www.oceancity.com or www.ococean.com to find the best deals.

Places I would suggest are
Park Place
Haven Hotel
Breakers
Have Fun.
