Our favorite is Barefoot Mailman because it is close to the beach and owned by the same family that operates Castle in the Sand.
Don't forget to check out www.ocisfree.com to book your hotel as you may be eligible for FREE certificates for local restaurants, activities and attractions.
Thank you,

There is no bad location in OC because everything is easily accessible. There are shops and restaurants and arcades open (indoor rides are open, but geared for smaller children), some simply for the weekend (but solely based on the weather).
A few hotel favorites of my family: Holiday Inn Suites, Carousel, Princess Royale, Tideland's Caribbean, and Clarion.
Don't forget if you book through www.ocisfree.com you may be eligible for FREE certificates for local restaurants, attractions and activities. These are great to stretch your vacation budget!
Thank you,
Anna G.
I would recommend mid-town (30th - 60th Street), close to Seacrets, Fager's Island, and Dead Freddie's.
If you are looking for something to house 6-12 people, recommend a condo. Contact any of the local vacation rental agencies (my personal favorite is Coldwell Banker and Breezy Kammermaier) and provide your specifics, ie dates, bedrooms, baths, location, budget, etc. They will provide listing of available units which meet or exceed all your needs.
Thank you,
Anna G.
Please be aware however that dogs are not permitted on the boardwalk or the beach between May 1 and October 1 and dogs must be on a leash at all times. There is a dog park located at 94th St. You will need a permit from the city in order to use it. http://oceancitymd.gov/Recreation_and_Parks/dogplayground.html

If it's only for a weekend, you will probably prefer a hotel, but if you're considering a condo, they offer what is called a "mini week" rental.
You should be able to find a condo for about $1,000 a week. Try any of the following real estate agencies for assistance:
Holiday Real Estate www.holidayoc.com
Coldwell Banker www.cbvacations.com
Long and Foster www.lfvacations.com
If you are going to have a summer job, check with your employer as well. Many offer housing options for their summer staff.
Have a great summer!
