Reading on tripadvisor, the GM of Quality Inn & Suites on 3301 Atlantic Ave stated the rooms are under going a rehab. Has anyone stayed there lately? I got a great rate, but concerned about some of the reviews.

I haven't stayed there recently but from hearing from a friend of mine who has she said it was still a great place to stay. The rooms were just fine.

Which all you can eat restaurant would you say is better, The Embers or The Bonfire? Or, is there another AYCE restaurant that is even better that I'm not aware of? Thanks.

I always liked the Phillps on 21st, there is always a long line so either get there early(I think they open at 4)  or later in the evening. The buffet is upsairs.

My wife and I are thinking of coming down on Labor Day and staying until Friday of that week so we can enjoy OC without the peak season crowds. Are any of the shops and arcades open along the boardwalk during that week?

Hello, there are plenty of things open during the labor day weekend. If you really like antique things you'll love the courtesy shop which is right off the boardwalk on talbot st. I love going there and there's so many neat ocean city maryland things there.

Is there a zoo nearby?

I think the closest is Salisbury Zoo, it's about 30 minutes from OC. www.salisburyzoo.org

I was at the beach at Christmas and noticed a hotel near/on the boardwalk just beyond the pier. The hotel is pink with blue turrets and flags. Does anyone know the name of the hotel?

Ellen,

Good afternoon.  The only two hotels I know in this area that are pink would be the Americana on 10th Street, or the Comfort Inn on 5th Street.

Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.  I'm sure one of the other Insiders will know exactly what your are thinking of....

Thank you for your question.

Any pet-friendly places where I can stay in Ocean City for weekend of May 7-9 that don't have a 3-night minimum?

Judy,

Check www.ococean.com/accommodations.  You can select the amenities you are wanting (ie pet friendly) and it will search those that meet your choices.  Then simply check for availability.  I'm not sure about your dates, but we have stayed at the Barefoot Mailman (which is pet friendly) previously in late April and late August and did not have a 3-night minimum.

Hope you find a great location and enjoy your mini-vacation!

What Hotels, Condos, have private hot tubs for any of there rooms besides the Hilton? Just to clarify I do not mean Jacuzzi tubs in the rooms. Thank you all for any positive input!

The only room I stayed in with a hot tub is the Hilton.  I love their hotel.  But you can also check out the Comfort Suites at Gold Coast Mall and The Princess Royale in 91st St.  By the way, Isn't Jacuzzi (and Whirl Pool) considered a hot tub?

I am coming to OC June 19 - 26, and for the first time, I ambringing my 19' boat. I am staying ocean side, so I don't have access to a dock/slip. I am not permitted to have the boat where I am staying. Is there somewhere cheap/free that I can either leave the boat in the water, or store it on land and use a boat ramp throughout the week?

Paul,

Good morning.  There are several boat slips throughout OC.  I would recommend contacting the OC Fishing Center in West Ocean City at (800) 322-3065 or www.ocfishing.com; Sunset Marina, also in West Ocean City, at (877) 514-FISH or www.ocsunsetmarina.com; or Talbot Street Pier at 311 Talbot Street, (410) 289-9125.

You will have a GREAT time in Ocean City.  We will be leaving OC from our vacation as you arrive.  Enjoy....
