One of my favorites is the Bayside Skillet on 77th St.  Excellent crepes and omelets.

Going to OC MDfor cruisin'. Who makes the best italian subs besides Subway? We like soft rolls, not the hard crusty chewy kind. Thank-you, yum yum!

Is there any place for dancing salsa/bachata in OC, MD?

There are plenty of dance clubs in OC, but none that I know of are dedicated to salsa or bachata dancing. You can see a whole list of clubs, and the schedule of the bands that will be playing in this listing from the Coconut Times newspaper.

Have a great time in OC!

My husband and I will be visiting for the week starting next Monday, the 14th. We have a 9 mo old...what are reasonably priced places to eat that are baby friendly? Thanks

Hunt Valley and Ocean City

There are many kid friendly restaurants in Ocean City - Dead Freddies, Fish Tales, BJ's, Macky's and Seacrets - just to name a few.   Given that this is off-season, I do not think you will have a problem getting into any of them.  These restaurants have lots to see for a 9 month old and no one will get upset at a crying baby.  Happy Mother's Day!

If I have a valid vertical license will I be allowed to drink in the bars?

I know several people who have been refused with a vertical license.  Only advice I can offer is that it depends upon the place and their rules.

Does anyone know if or when Mickey Fins will re-open in 2012? It was not open on Easter weekend and rumor has it that it may not re-open at all because of some dispute with its food preparer, Marlin Moon Grill. We hope the rumor is wrong because we love that place!

According to their website (http://www.ocmickyfins.com/) they will be reopening in May with a new menu.

Thank you,
Anna G.

Almost all of them.  The majority of them opened up Easter weekend, so you'll have no problem finding that your favorites are open.

Are all the restaurants open this early in the year? We didn't get to try the seafood last year during the summer and wanted to come this month of April to avoid the crowds? Any other ideas what to do in OC this month of April for a family of 4 with 2 boys ages 7 and 9? Much appreciated!

Just about all of the restaurants are open now or will be in the next week  or two. There is still lots to do in OC in April.
Play laser tag at Planet Maze. If you've never tried it, it's so much fun!! The boys (and you) will love it.
Play mini golf.  There are several outdoor courses open now and 2 indoor courses open on 68th and 136th St. are open year round.
Ice skate indoors at the Carousel Hotel. They have skates to rent in all sizes.
Visit Assateague Island and see the wild ponies that live there and visit the nature/visitor center there before you enter the park. It's very interesting.
Ride go karts at Baja Amusements inWest Ocean City
Rent bicycles and ride on the boardwalk. Dandy Don's on 12th St and 10 N. Division St. even has mini "cars" you can rent (pedal)
Hunt for seashells and walk the beach
Head to nearby Salisbury and visit the FREE zoo there.
Explore the bay and the commercial fishing district in West Ocean City and watch the fish and shrimp being unloaded.
There's always something to do or see in and around Ocean City.
