What are some good breakfast buffets in town?

George,

Personally, I enjoy English's Buffet on 15th Street.  I don't care for many breakfast food items, but this place has items even I enjoy.  Plus with a family of 4, it's budget friendly.

A few other of our favorites, Princess Royale, Clarion, and Castle in the Sand.  All normally offer money saving coupons in the Visitor Guide, Sunny Day Guide, or on their website.

In all of the above locations, the food is great and definitely plentiful!

Thank you,

Heading to OC for a few days with my husband and my very picky 2 year old. Can anyone suggest a place where we can get our seafood fix but also offers a good kids' menu? Thanks!

Jessica,
Try Dead Freddies, Mackeys, Fish Tales, BJ's on the Water, or Seacrets.  All offer seafood and something for your child to do or see.   Phillips also has a great kids menu and great seafood.

My family will be in OC the last week of July. Anyone know of a restaurant with great crab/seafood and chicken/steak. Two of us can not eat seafood... the other four love it!

Trudy,

Actually any of the seafood restaurants will provide alternatives.  I don't eat seafood, but we visit seafood restaurants regularly because many in our group of friends enjoy it.  You can actually check out www.ococean.com and many of the restaurants will list their menus.

Our personal favorites are Phillips, Higgins, Harborside, Clarion, and Macky's.

Have a great vacation!

Can you recommend a catering place? I am looking for someone who will bring out a large grill and be able to cook steaks. This would be for approximately 40 people. Thanks.

Joe,

No. 1 Chinese Restaurant is located at 118th Street
Yang's at 54th Street

and then if you don't mind driving, there is a Panda China Buffet in West Ocean City (Route 50) at the White Marlin Mall.

Enjoy,

What is it like in Ocean City in the middle of September? I want to have my bachelorette party down there but I would rather have a lot of people around to party with instead of it being dead.

Kim,

September is a great time - but you can always find crowds whenever you go.

Here are a couple great places to go for bachelorette parties -
   Seacrets
   Fager's Island -
actually has a special just for bachelorette parties - LOTS OF FUN!
   Green Turtle
   Shenanigans

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and hope you have a memorable bachelorette party!

In the OC Ocean commercial, it looks like there is a restaurant where you can eat in the ocean. There's several tables in the sand, and there's a small tide so you can have your feet in the sand/water while you eat. Does this sound familiar? It looks pretty cool. Thanks in advance!

Tori,

Seacrets has tables and stools in the water - bayside.  It's fun, cool on a hot day, and fun.

Other places, Fishtales has tables in the sand so your toes are in the sand while you eat (this is one of my all time favorite restaurants).  Macky's as well.  Both are bayfront.

Castle in the Sand offers beach service to their patrons - this is oceanfront.  But no tables on the beach.

Only places I'm familiar with ...

I love seafood and my new favorite are fish tacos! I am wondering where are some great places to get amazing fish tacos! Thank you!

Erin,

I do not like seafood, but a friend got the fish tacos from LaHacienda and they looked amazing.  It's my favorite mexican restaurant in OC and has the best food around!  Definitely worth a try and don't miss their daily specials.

Thank you,

I am staying around 30th street and will be on the beach. I am wondering if there are any places I can walk straight from the beach to a place I can get lunch. Or are there any places I can get take out to bring to the beach in that area. I have tried Higgins and would like to try something different. Thanks!

George,

There is a Fractured Prune shop on 28th & Coastal Highway that offers lunch sandwiches. (hand dipped doughnuts and sandwiches).

Then there is always tons of food on the boardwalk.  Take a nice stroll and enjoy.  We love the pizza place at the Grand Hotel on 21st.

Coins is right up the center from Fractured Prune (sandwiches and burgers).

OC Wasabi on 33rd and Coastal Highway (Sushi)

Anthony's on 33rd & Coastal Highway (GREAT sandwiches!).

I was wondering if you could recommend a great pizza place that delivers as well as your recommendation for the best place to get crabs... Also, do you know the best time of day to go to Assateague Island so we can see the wild horses? Thanks so much.

Jennifer,

I would highly recommend the Assateague Adventure - they take you to Assateague and will search out the horses.  The nice thing is you learn a lot about the history of OC as well as it's marine life.  The staff (captain and hand) are great!  We like the early morning rides, but have done morning, afternoon and late afternoon and all were great rides.

Pizza that delivers - Johnny's Pizza, Pizza Mambo, or any pizza place really in OC.  Think we have tried about all of them over the years.  Great coupons can be found at www.sunnydayguide.com.

Thank you,
