I am seeking a full time, year round career in or near Ocean City, MD. My interest is in Culinary Arts. Fine dining ( 4 and 5 star restaurants) has been my employment experience for the last four years. I am familiar with all areas of 'back of the house' restaurant positions and have studied Culinary Arts. Since I am new to the area, I am researching the best resources for finding employment in the Restaurant Business. Does anyone have suggestions?

Close to you is the Phillips Seafood house on 141st St. They have a fine buffet consisting of traditional Thanksgiving offerings. I have always enjoyed their food. Seasons Restaurant at the Carousel Hotel on 118th St also has a dinner buffet from 12-2 and 2-4. They told me that reservations are highly reccomended. The Clarion Resort on 101st St has a great breakfast and dinner with ocean front dining. If you can get to the Bonfire on 71st St, they will be having a Thanksgiving buffet from 1-8pm. It is one of OCs finest buffets on Thanksgiving. A little further south on 60th St is Fagers with great views of the bay. For Breakfast, you will be close to both the Dough Roller and Dumser's which are two of my favorite places to eat breakfast. Dumser's has great milkshakes which you can even order during breakfast hours.

There are no local dinner cruises in OC but plenty of water view dining. If you eat at the Angler, they offer a free crusie after dinner. http://theangleroc.com/

Hello Carol, I do not know of any coupons that can be printed out but, some restaurants do offer discounts. I believe English's offers a discount as well as Embers.

I am going to OC to celebrate a 5th anniversary and im looking to go somewhere romantic to eat. Somewhere really nice that requires reservations and being dressed nicely. We're into Italian and American Cuisine but are open to others. Any ideas?

What is the best seafood restaurant in or close to OC (including West Ocean City, Fenwick etc)? We usually go to Phillips Crab House every year but want to add something else that is just as good or comparable.

Can I take my small dog with me to outdoor restaurants and bars?

1st and foremost...Worcester County Health Department may not like to see dogs in the same eating area as people. That being said, I have seen pets at 1 or 2 bars mostly during the off season. I would not reccomend a pet at some of the crowded outdoor bars as the summer crowds are overwhelming. Ocean City has a great outdoor park just for dogs on 94th and bayside as well as many pet friendly hotels and condos.

I Love Milk Shakes! Who has the best milk shakes and ice cream in Ocean City MD? What is their best flavor?

Great question! There are many ice cream shops to choose from but in my opinion nothing will ever beat Dumser's Dairy Land. There is a location at 120th St, around 50th and on the boardwalk. They make their own ice cream and always have a variety of daily special flavors. Their chocolate shakes are thick and old - fashioned - the best!

Not your typical Ocean City restaurant. The decor is unique and not typical in OC, however, the food is good. Ask your server what he/she likes best and ask them to tell you why they like it. They have a unique rockfish platter and a good tasting steak. I never have had a long wait. I give it 4 stars out of 5. Go for it. For other fine dining, check out Fresco's and Fagers.
