With regards to the AllStar Weekend, what time can you take down some chairs and a blanket to get a spot?

John,

Great question... since it starts at 3PM, I'd say start heading down around 12:30pm or 1PM..... so you can assure yourself a great place on the beach.  I'm pretty sure that the beach is first come, first serve.... I'll defer to my colleague Insiders to provide other tips..... Have a great time John!!!

John,

Depending on the concert, I would suggest taking a blanket and chairs down as early as you can.  It's a first come first serve seating and can get rather crowded.  Friends were there this past weekend and said the 6pm show was less crowded than the earlier performances, however not sure this is how it is done each week.  Nonetheless, they said it was more than worth the stop, lots of fun, great music, and prizes.

There are great restaurants and quick bite stops right there, so you can pick your spot, do some shopping, and grab some food.

The concerts are great!  Everyone will definitly enjoy.

Thank you,

Anna G.

I would get there about an hour before the show starts to set up your spot.  You can always set up the chairs or blanket and hit the boards for a bite to eat while you wait.

John,
According to the Convention Center, who runs the concert, you can set up from 2 pm.  It is right on the beach, so there is plenty of space available.  It is expected to be very crowded.  Bring lots of water and sunscreen.
