The Princess Royale, Carousel, Holiday Inn and Clarion Hotel  have one and two night packages available; most include a room, dinner, open bar, music and dancing, champagne toast and party favors.

 The major night spots - Seacrets, BJ's, Purple Moose, Fagers, and Dead Freddies will all have parties.  Seacrets is the best in my opinion!  The larger restaurants will be open and many are serving special entrees. 

Plus someone always does fireworks on the beach at midnight!
 

The Clarion has 2 and 3 night packages that include a room and tickets to thier New Year's Eve Gala. Prices vary based on the room you select. The Calrion has an excellent brunch on Sundays, but I don't think it is part of their package.

The Princess Royale also has a package that includes a room, dinner, and NYE party with open bar. Prices vary based on room selection

Dunes Manor will also likely have a package, but details have not been posted yet.

Admission is $3 and it covers the whole weekend. The Shopper's Fair hours are:

Friday, November 25: 10 am – 5 pm
Saturday, November 26: 10am - 5pm
Sunday, November 27: 10am - 4pm

There were no boat races last summer and I do not believe they are returning this summer either since nothing has been scheduled and I have not seen any permit requests or similar indication that the event is being put on the city's events calendar. 

The air show is slated to return, but dates have not been finalized yet as the specific dates depend on what acts can be lined up and when. The air show planning group has been working to line up headline acts and I expect dates to be announced soon. However, the air show will likely be in early to mid June.

May is an excellent time to visit OC. There are lots of great events as the Town starts ramping up from the winter months! Here are a few of them:

Springfest is 3 - 6 May. It is a great festival held at the inlet parking lot with crafts and concerts. Many of the concerts are free, except the headlining acts.

Restaurant Week is 6 - 20 May. Many restaurants in town offer special menus and special pricing on their great food. Their website has not been updated for the Spring event, but the event and participants are very similar in the Spring and Fall, so looking at it now will give you a good sense of the event.

Cruisin' Ocean City is 17 - 20 May. This is a great event whether you have a classic car or not. Over 3000 classic cars will be in town and on display at the inlet parking lot, Convention Center, and other meets around town. There is a parade on the boardwalk Friday and Saturday mornings. I love this event and I have been there for it for the past several years.

International Museum Day is 18 May - Free admission to the Lifesaving Museum at the south end of the boardwalk.

Sunfest 2012 is 20 - 23 September 2012.  Sunfest is always the fourth weekend in September.

Winterfest of lights is a trolley ride through Northside Park.  The park is decorated with a variety of lit and often animated scenes, like the 12 days of Christmas.  It is a fun time and very enjoyable.  The ride takes about 12 minutes and is accompanied with Christmas music.  The ride starts and stops at Santa's workshop, a heated tent with a small gift store and hot chocolate.  We do it every year and love it!  Dress warmly and bring a blanket for the ride.  It is outside.
