For me I would visit Ocean City once a month if I could. I enjoy all the season in OC. The peak season when it is the most busiest is July to the end of August. To answer your question I would suggest mid May to the end of June as a good time to visit.

In saying that my week's vacation is during the middle of July and I stay at the northern end of Ocean City. I enjoy this area a lot and I never feel it's too crowed then.

A friend has some very old scopes and is looking for a way to print out the photos. Is there a way?

We tried to do this a two years ago so I could show my daughters my lovely head of hair and six-pack abs - from 1988.  We were not successful.  You can try a local "dvd-to-video transfer" store to see if technology has progressed.  We even talked to the manager of the scope store and he did not know of a way to do it.  If you find a way, please let me know.

Hi Pete, Looks like the closest is Bargain Bill's Flea Market in Laurel, DE. I'd check them out. Usually during the summer there is a flea market at the lot of Hooper's Crab House in OC.

I would like to know if there are any marinas that will allow me to "flush" my jet ski for salt water, then launch it. Any information (including cost) is appreciated!

Hey Carl, Looks like Waterways Marina on 53th street does that for you. I'd check them out http://www.waterwaysmarinaoc.com or give them a call at 410-723-4228. They have a VIP package that they take care of the flushing and launching for you.

Is there anything to do in OC from Dec. 26 through New Year's Day? Are there any good hotels that run deals or are economically priced for that time of year?

I have often been in OC at that time of year, and there is plenty to do. You can go to Winterfest of Lights one night, and there are a bunch of New Year's Day activities. Take a look at the OCOcean events page for some events going on then or at this thread for more ideas of things to do.

You can get some great hotel deals at this time of year. Checkout the OCOcean accommodations page, which often lists great specials. I have often stayed at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront at 67th Street at this time of year and got a very reasonable rate. It is a nice hotel at a great midtown location.

Do the hotels have free WiFi?

Most do, but not all.  It depends upon where you are staying.  You need to ask at the desk when you check in or book your hotel.

Are the umbrella/chair "blue boxes" still open in October?

Not officially. They normally close the same day that the life guards stop protecting the beach, which this year was September 24th.  There are still some blue boxes on the beach though and there are signs with phone numbers on them.  Maybe you can call the number and they would be willing to send someone there to rent some to you.

But please stay out of the ocean now since there are no lifeguards on duty any more.

Can you drive on the beach in OC past 78th Street?

The Ocean Commercial harbor is is located at 12806 Sunset Avenue, West Ocean City.  Boats come in from 2 pm to 4 pm usually.

Here is a video of the harbor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIt4wLgaqLQ

You can also go to Mickey Finns, the Shark or Sunset Grille and watch the boars come in.
