Is there a dog park or any part of the beach where dogs are permitted on beach? Is there a time of day for boardwalk or beach? We are coming down in July and bringing our dog.

Dogs are also permitted on the federal side of Assateague. There is however a leash law there.

We take our dog to Northside Park and he always has a great time. Dogs must be leashed, but they can swim in the bay unleashed. There are lots of friendly dogs to play with there.

Sorry Colleen, but dogs are not permitted on the beach between May and October. And while you may see one or two on the beach, those people are taking a chance. The dog ordinances are strictly enforced. And all dogs must be kept on a leash when walking in OC.
To access the dog park, you will need a permit from the city. And your pet must have a current license and proof of current rabies vaccine.

Yes the park at 94th st is good for dogs but is very expensive to register a dog to use that park.

There is a dog park on 94th St. Â This is a fenced dog park with separate areas for larger and smaller dogs. This is the only area within Ocean City where dogs may be off-leash on public property. Dogs must be registered with the town before using the park. There is an annual pass for residents and a weekly pass for visitors.
You may take your dog to the Ferderal side of Assateague Island where dogs are allowed on the beach.
