I'm heading down to OC this weekend for a friend's bachelor party. Looking for help with a couple things. 1 - looking more for bars than clubs. Besides Seacrets, I know of Mackey's, Fishtails, and Fagers Island - any suggestions? 2 - I know of a couple pool bars along the boardwalk, but thought there was also one further north, maybe at the Econo lodge or something? Any better than the others? 3 - I think I already know the answer to this one, but are there any mini-golf courses that also sell beer or let you bring beer on them? This one is probably a no. Thanks in advance!

I don't drink so I am not much help with bars, however I will say that I think you and your friends should start out with a great meal first.  Ocean City has tons of great restaurants, I would suggest Phillips.

Also, no to mini golf that allows beer.

Enjoy!

I too suggest the Harborside(in West OC) but make sure you have a DD or take a cab because there are always state police patrolling that road.

There is a pool bar at the Plim Plaza on 2nd street. They aways have live music.

And if you're on the boardwalk the Purple Moose is another great bar!

Jack,
This is a great list!  I love the Econolodge as well.  The Blue Ox has a great happy hour and some awesome food with big screen tv's.  They have a real (cheap) happy hour and a nice bar.
No beer on the golf courses!  But water bottles are allowed...
Have a great time!

Jack,

Tara, Anna and Bill's suggestions are great!!!  I just can't believe I'm reading the word "besides" before Seacrets.  I tend to migrate there most every day that I'm in Ocean City. There are plenty of pool bars in Ocean City. I'm not sure if the Econo Lodge has a pool bar, that is, if you're talking about the one on 145th Street.  I really like the place Bill recommended... The Caribbean Bar and Grill is located at the Plim Plaza Hotel on 2nd Street and Boardwalk.  It has a great atmosphere.

While I like Mackey's, Fish Tales and Fager's, I'm really prone to head to Seacrets.... but for a different type of nightclub experience, why don't you and the guys head to the Party Block on 17th Street and Coastal Highway?  http://www.partyblock.com/  I think you'll enjoy yourself there!

Have fun in Ocean City!!
