How long can you rent chairs and umbrellas? We will be arriving the week of September 13.

Depending on where you are staying depends on when they stop.  The busier locations will be open on weekends for rentals.  However, if you are not staying near a large hotel or at the lower end of the boardwalk don't bank on it.

Tammy,

Tara's got that answer pegged..... I would recommend that you purchase your own umbrella and beach chairs at Sunsations, Rose's Department Store on 94th Street or WalMart out on Route 50.  It is much more economical to own your own, and quite frankly, it won't cost you an arm and a leg to purchase them..... by the time you are down, the sales will be awesome!!!!!  Have a great time!

Tammy you can also try PMI Rentals, but they are not located on the beach.  They will deliver an umbrella to your condo/hotel/house for use during the week.  I know their prices drop dramatically after Labor Day.

I spoke to the people over at PBS rentals the other day in front of the Carousel.  They said that they usually clsoe 1/2 of their stands after Labor Day and that many of the stands will be open only on weekends.  If there are none open, you can always purchase low priced chairs at off season prices at the CVS, Rite Aid, Food Lion, Super Fresh, Roses, Walmart, and Sunsations in Ocean City.

Tammy,

Great time to visit - many of the shops will be selling their summer merchandise at a discount, including beach chairs and umbrellas.  Take advantage and have your supplies for next year - that is if you have room to take home - if not, we have left them in our hotel rooms or condos previously for individual use.

Thank you,
Anna G.
