I was thinking of going to OC in late September. What is the weather like and how many of the attractions remain open?

Ocean City is wonderful in late September.... it gets a little cooler at night, so you'll need a hoodie, but shorts are still OK for the most part.... the ocean is still warm and spending the day on the beach is still the norm... keep in mind by late September, the Ocean City Beach Patrol has taken down the lifeguard stands and has become an emergency response force... you'll see them on 4 wheelers, but no one will be stationed full time. Some stores, restaurants and businesses will have started a weekends only schedule, but not many..... the outdoor rides at the Jolly Roger Park at 30th Street and the Pier, and Trimper's Outdoor rides at the Inlet may be closed or open only on the weekends by that time.... other than that, you'll find Ocean City is still up and in full swing.

Bill is correct in all regards. I think about 98% of OC is still open in September, plus the restaurants start their fall specials. There are no lines and the city gets a little quieter. But everything is still open and the city still feels very much alive.

OC in late September is awesome. Everything is still open, less crowded and the temps are not as hot. Late September also brings Sun Fest Weekend, which I love. I really think you will be pleased with you decision to visit at this time.

Ocean City is great in September. The weather is still good, the ocean water is at it's warmest and still plenty to do in OC. Not all rides are open but some on the weekends at Trimpers.

Hey Jenny! Should we all call you at 867-5309? Hahaaha (good 80's song). Anywho...in answer to your question OC offers great things in september. sunfest is great! I know friends who go to it for years and alway have a great time. i hope your there when it's going on. But my fellow insiders are right that the weather may be cooler but there's still plenty of fun to be had down there! Hope you have a great time when you go!!!! Trimpers rides are usually open just during the weekends in september and there's a lot of shops open as well.
