The way our schedule is for 2011 we may need to take our yearly vacation to Ocean City Maryland on either Labor Day week or even later in September, but we were a little nervous to do that because were didn't know when most of the shops and amusement parks close in Ocean City on the Boardwalk and on Coastal Highway? When do places usually close for the season?

There are lots of shops open in september. The indoor rides at the boards will still be open. Very few places close for the season anymore. Some businesses only close for a few weeks in Feb.

You should try to go during Sunfest if you can. The shops will definately be open that weekend.

Hey Bill, I would try to come for later september because sunfest is one of the most exciting fall events. Amusement parks are open on weekends in september but the boardwalk is still open and there's still plenty to do around ocean city during those off season times. Hope this helps.
