We'll be coming to OC next week & staying at Days Inn on the Boardwalk. Where's the best place (and best time) to go within walking distance to be sure we catch a sunset?

I have many favorite places to watch the sunset.  You are at 12th St.  If you want an excellent dining experience, watch the sunset at either De Lazy Lizard on 1st St and the bay or at Fishtales on 22nd and the bay.  If you want to drive or take the bus to Fagers Island on 60th St, they make the sunset a special occaison.  There are also public piers bayside at 3rd and 9th St that you can watch one of Ocean City's amazing sunsets!

Sunsets happen at different times each day.  Call Fagers Island at 410-524-5500 to get the exact time of the sunset on the day you want to watch the sunset.

Here is a handy calculator to check also.  Use the sunset table for New York to estimate the sunset time for Ocean City MD.  www.sunrisesunset.com

Sharon,

Well, if you're at the Days Inn on the Boardwalk, then I'd head to the bay.... my favorite places to watch the sunset are Seacrets, Fager's Island, Northside Park and Dead Freddies.

Hi Sharon,
Just take a walk across the highway to the bay.  Anywhere at all will give you a sunset.  My favorite place to watch the sunsets isn't within walking distance.  I love to go to Northside Park on 125th St and walk out to the end of the pier.  The view can't be beat. And another good place is behind the Convention Center on 40th St. There are benches there that you can sit on and watch the sun set.
