Get Answers from the OC Insiders
We'll be coming to OC next week & staying at Days Inn on the Boardwalk. Where's the best place (and best time) to go within walking distance to be sure we catch a sunset?

Bill gave many of my favorite bayside places as well, FishTales, Fager's Island, Macky's, MR Ducks, etc.
However, even though you don't get to actually see the sun setting, I truly enjoy grabbing a seat on the beach and watching the sky over the water change from day to night. There are normally so many colors throughout the sunset that I find it amazing, beautiful, and picture perfect.

Grab the bus, take it to the Convention Center, walk along the boardwalk behind the Center along the bay. The sunsets here are breath taking.

Another great place is from the upper deck at Mickey Fins. Have some sangria and just watch the sun fade. It is a great time.

I am not sure if the Days Inn has a balcony or perhaps a rooftop pool, but if it does, try to get bayside rooms, then get a favorite drink and relax from your hotel!

Hey Sharon, The best place is right on the boardwalk. It's so beautiful to watch, or if you go over to the bay side, that's very nice too. I love watching it from the boardwalk and beach myself. It's the best place.
