Are the boardwalk and restaurants still open on weekdays in late September? We are also traveling with my 2 year old son. We only have Monday - Wednesday due to my husband's work schedule. Thank you for any information you can share

Donna,

Well... during the "off season", which really, Ocean City doesn't close down any longer, but truly, you'll find that the bulk of attractions do go to a weekends only schedule.  You'll find boardwalk restaurants and shops that do open during the evening weekdays, but you'll also find that many businesses shut down for the week...... you'll find lots to do though, it'll be a nice and mellow time for you and your family to go and explore!

Hey Donna, You can try planet maze or the boardwalk has some things open. arcades are usually open still and the shops as well. venture over to assategue island. that's always nice. carousel has some nice things inside. maybe the little guy will want to learn to ice skate. fish tales is also great for kids.

On Wednesday before you leave, why not treat your little guy to a pirate adventure on board the Duckaneer on Talbot St. at the pier?  It's a boat made to be a pirate adventure for kids.  He'll get an eye patch and "booty" to take home. They have two times available on Wednesday at noon and 2:30 p.m. and there is a discount coupon on their website. www.theduckaneer.com

Donna,
There will still be lots to do.  You can enjoy putt putt golf, Planet Maze, Assateague to see the wild ponies, time on the beach and the arcades on the boardwalk.  Fish Tales and Dead Freddies should be open and are very kid friendly with playgrounds.
