My question is I am wondering what my friends and I should do in Ocean City for a time period of 3 to 4 days. What are the major things people do in Ocean City?

There are so many different things to do, you gotta remember to slow down and enjoy yourself. Ocean City is at its best when you enjoy what you are doing and don't worry about what's next. Of course, going to the beach during the day and the boardwalk at night are the two staples of most people's visits. Tons of things to do and see on the boards. Another Insider mentioned the water park at Jolly Roger on 30th street. I definitely second that. It is a must whenever I'm in town.

My fellow Insiders gave great advice!  If you have a rainy day, try the indoor golf courses on 136th and 68th Street. For a nice and scenic view even in the rain, try Seacrets or BJ's on the Water.

A couple of other things to add to the extensive lists my comrades gave you...for an awesome crab cake; head out to the Captain's Galley on Harbor Rd.  If cocktails are your thing....enjoying a sunset from Seacrets with a dirty  banana or one of their other signature dishes in your hand; an orange crush from Harborside Grill; or a Long Island iced tea from Horizon's.  I can also highly recommend Horizon's breakfast buffet as well and since the restaurant is beside the ocean, the ambiance can't be beat!  If you are an outlet shopper; I would also recommend stopping by the Rt. 50 outlets and if you are looking for an unusual gift; drop by the Donald Duck Shoppe in the Gold Coast Mall.
