There is no alcohol allowed on the beach.  Also, there is no grilling or open flam allowed.  Northside Park has grills set up for this purpose.

I also wanted to add that Lenny's Beach Grill at the Clarion on 101st St. offers a roped off section of beach that allows for alcohol drinking and one of the perks to staying at the Golden Sands condominium is having an oceanfront bar/grill right on their deck overlooking the beach.  There is even a sandy area with adirondack chairs that you can relax and enjoy the wonderful ocean views in.

The lifeguards also patrol for alcoholic beverages on the beach.  Dogs are not allowed as well during the summer.  Overnight sleeping or camping is also banned.
