You can go super economical by making your sandwiches for lunch, eating at Mcdonalds and Burger king, ordering pizza to go, etc and limit your entertainment money and get away with $80-$100 + lodging.  But I would say you could still be comfortable with $500 + lodging and have a complete blast with all the amenities.

We spend $120 per night on the Boardwalk for 3 children.  Dinner runs about $100 for a family of 5.  That comes to $60 for dinner and entertainment per person, plus add another $40 for breakfast and lunch.  Figure $100 per person per day.

You don't say if it's just you or you and a companion, but when it's me and my husband we usually spend around $600 not including the hotel.

Comment on - A lot depends on what you want to do. Here are some estimates:

Lodging: $175 to $250 per night (4 people or less)
Meals: $30 - 60 per person per day.
Entertainment: $20 per person per day

Add it all up and it is about $800 (assumes three nights) plus gas money.

Have a great trip!

I'm gonna say bring about 500.00 more.
