The great thing about OC is the residents and powers that be in the community there are used to wild weather and have become a very well oiled machine in picking up the pieces and putting things back together once they are over.  After Hurricane Irene passed through, OC, was up and running by noon the next day.

I was there and on the street where it started.  It was wild. Some minor damage, but it's all cleaned up now.  It turned into a water spout when it went out to sea.

It's been a wild weather year in Ocean City!  Massive amounts of snow, a major evacuation because of Irene, an earthquake and now a tornado!  WHile I was able to be there for the hurricane and the snow, one of our other insiders Darlene was able to witness the tornado..  Let's hope Ocean City sees "less" weather excitement in 2012!

Technically, it is called a tornadic waterspout.  It was amazing in that it started in the bay then crossed Ocean Highway and then entered the ocean.  No injuries and less than $15,000 of total damage were reported.
