We will be in OC for only 1 night (and the better part of 2 days) over Memorial Day Weekend. What are the "not to miss" things to see and do in a short amount of time? We are 4 upper 40's adults..no kids with us on this trip.

2 major things: Beach and Boardwalk! Boardwalk sites and things to do and eat: Thrasher Fries, the ferris wheel, Fishers popcorn, Jesus sand sculpture, Kite Loft, Life Saving Museum, Ocean Gallery. Fagers or Fishtales at sunset.

First and foremost - have a great time! Enjoy the beach and the ocean - FAGER'S FOR DINNER but get reservations ASAP for around sunset! Afterward - Boardwalk baby! Get some Thrasher's, Fisher's Popcorn and enjoy!

Id have to agree with everyone, the boardwalks always a good time, day or night. Even if youre just "people watching". Theres a ton of shops and stores where you can pick up t-shirts, or OC trinkets. Thrashers is also a must (just be prepared for a line-eventho theyre worth the wait).

So much to do and so little time. Definitely hit the boardwalk. The sights, sounds, smells - well worth the trip. Fishtales, Fager's Island, Macky's or somewhere similar on the bayside for sunset and drinks. Check out the calendar of events to see what's happening. Finally, sit back, relax and have fun. It's what OC is famous for!

Definitely do the sunset at Fager's Island. If you have time, try BJ's on the Water for lunch.Fishtales is also nice because it is located at Bahia Marina, it's laid back. Don't forget about the beach!! Also, Seacrets for nightlife!! Try to see the Jim Long Band if they are there that night.Great show!! Also Coconuts outdoor bar at the Castle in the Sand has a great 2-for-1 happy hour between 5 & 6 pm 7 days a week..great frozen drinks!!

Jonah and the Whale on 26 or many others to choose from. There are many lounges or a stroll on the boardwalk to visit many shops in the evening. Also on 34th st and Coastal Highway a bilevel Christmas Shop with beautiful displays open late all summer long. if it rains there is a mall over the rt. 50 bridge plus check with you hotel/motel upon check in for a list of events and coupon books. Have a nice time.

I recommend you swing by Assateague Island if you like nature. You'll see ponies and possibly some deer. They have a beautiful beach as well. If you want to take in some history and get on the water, take an Assateague tour boat over to the island. Something like the 'Assateague Explorer' tour. They'll take you to Assateague and along the way give you some OC history. If you'd like to take a very enjoyable cruise after dinner book reservations on the Judith M at Bahia Marina. Reserve early, they book quickly. They travel through the bay a bit and then out into the ocean if the waves aren't too high.

The Boardwalk is definitely a must! I'd suggest Trimpers for rides, the Doughroller for pizza and you can't visit Ocean City without getting Thrashers french fries.

If you have never been there, you have to go to the boardwalk....the longest and the best anywhere! Go during the day if you want less people, but at night I love all the lights. You have to get some popcorn, Dolly'r or Fisher's, either one you can't go wrong. During the day....the beach of course! Also, I love to just grab stuff on the bd. walk for lunch. Boardwalk Joe's has the best Gyro's !
