Hi. I would like to offer two dozen guests a chair to sit in at an informal beach wedding at Sunset Park in Ocean City, MD. The wedding is at 7:00 pm on Saturday August 20,2011. Companies from other states are willing to charge $100s extra to deliver to your area, but not set up or take down. Is there a selection of Ocean City locals to turn to for seating? I had heard OC was famous for accommodating weddings and OC is the annual vacation spot for my fiance's family, so I still want to have the beach wedding there... Thank you for any advice you may be able to provide!

You will have to check with the park first to see if they will allow you set-up 100 chairs.  I have not heard of this being done before.  PMI Rentals offers chairs for rent in Ocean City if they are allowed at the Park.

Should you go down to DC from OC, I highly recommend you avoid 95 and take 301.  The traffic can really back up on 95 these days and can make your trip much longer.

I am trying to find information on how to purchase a brick along the Boardwalk to dedicate to my parents or something similar to this.  Any advice?

The bricks can take up to 6 months to be placed, so plan accordingly.  They are ordered in batches and placed twice a year.

Are we still allowed to swim in the ocean if it's raining?

A light rain is fine and actually can be enjoyable. Just make sure to look at the clouds and how bad it looks like it might get. Make sure to follow the commands of the lifeguard.

Is there a minimum age for riding public transportation buses?  Can a 7 month old in a car seat/carrier or just a 7 month old in parents lap ride on the bus?

Anyone can ride the bus, but I will give you a heads up,the later it gets in OC, the more boisterous the crowd can be.  It can make for some fun memories!

Can you feed the horses at Assateague Island?

I have seen people do it, but the official answer is no.  I also wanted to give a heads up that if you are going there, be sure to wear something on your feet more substantial than flip flops...I learned the hard way one year and there was some kind of plant with small thorns I kept stepping on.

Are dogs allowed in Northside Park? We are going to be staying nearby and have the family dog with us and would like to know if we can take her for walks in the park.

Pets are always welcome at Northside Park.  Bag stations and trash cans are plentiful for your dogs bathroom needs too.  Remember, all pets must be leashed at all times.
