I was wondering what the Number and address was for the FUNKY STUFF store on the boardwalk.

Tracy,

I'm not sure, but believe there is another shop on the boardwalk with "funky stuff".  It's down closer to the Inlet, want to say around Dorchester or Talbot Streets.  I can picture it, just can't remember location.  There is a step up to get into the store and there are always great shirts, dresses, and other apparel towards the front.
Sorry I can't be of more assistance, but perhaps that will provide you with alternative shops.

Thank you,
Anna G.

Can you please provide a list of all the local newspapers in the OC Area? I am specifically looking for an article and picture that was printed in the first and seconde week of September. Thank you!

Hi. My fiancee and I are looking into a bayside wedding in Ocean City next Summer. We were impressed with the packages we found online for Princess Bayside Beach Hotel, but have heard mixed reviews about the place. Can anyone provide us with some feedback? We're a young couple looking to have a fun, casual, yet nice beach wedding. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much.

Erin,

Congratulations on your up and coming wedding.  Getting married at the beach is a dream for many.  I myself was married along the Cheasapeake Bay by one of their beaches.  I have witnesses two ocean weddings in the last few years and they too were very nice.

I don't think you can go wrong with the Princess Bayside.  They have wonderful people working there who will accomodate you.  If by any chance you have a problem with your room or noisey neighbors, they will find a solution for you.

With any hotel, be it the Hilton or Motel 6, you will have the complainers.  I just read some of the copmplaints online.  If the people who had the problems voiced their complaints to the front desk or management, and they were legitamate, the folks at Princess Bayside would accomate them.  I stayed at the new Hilton on 33rd when they first opened and I had a problem with the room.  All hotels can have their problems but it's the management's response to the complaint on how the hotel should be judged.

Have a great time!

What is the name of the jewelry store at the holiday inn suites hotel 17th and boardwalk

Judy,

The name of the jewelry store at the Holiday Inn 17th Street is Mark Douglas Jewelers.  They've been around a long time in Ocean City, and have lots of wonderful pieces to choose from.... nice thing about them is they have something to fit any budget.  The other two stores at the Holiday Inn are Summer Breeze and Ocean Reef..... they are cool stores too if you're looking for some great clothing selections.  Just a recommendation, when you are shopping for jewelry in Ocean City, make sure you check out Mark Douglas Jewelers, but also.... check out Atlantic Gold at the Inlet Village...... that's a great store!!!!!

A question for everyone to answer: Who in your opinion has the best milkshakes and ice cream in Ocean City. What menu item would you recommend?

Bill,

I'd have to go with Dumser's.... They've been the place for Ice Cream and Milk Shakes in Ocean City since 1939, and..... I still love some of the old time flavors.  My favorite flavor is Butter Pecan, and it is good either in a cone, or whipped up into a Milk Shake.

Hello! I am bringing my 1 year old to Ocean City next week but it may rain (1st week in October). Any tips on things to do with her? What about if it doesn't rain? Thanks!

Darrell,

What a great age to explore OC.  Here are a few ideas for rain or no rain:

1.  Indoor Play at Planet Maze on 33rd.  Check out their website (http://www.planetmaze.com/) for some coupons.
2.  Bike Ride on the Boardwalk.  There are tons of places all along the boardwalk in which to rent bikes.  Take an early morning ride, then stop for breakfast (our fave place is Dough Roller on 3rd Street), and head back.  Lots of work for parent(s), but the kids have a blast in the surrey's.
3.  Indoor or Outdoor MiniGolf  (locations and coupon at http://oldprogolf.com/).   We like Old Pro because they have a large variety of course options, including 2 indoor courses.
4.  FishTales, Dead Freddies or De Lazy Lizard - I believe they will still be open next week.  Enjoy a great meal while your 1 year old takes advantage of the wooden play structures.
5.  Old Time Photo - great souvenier of OC vacation!
6.  Trimper's Indoor Rides - rides suited perfectly for your 1 year old.

Have a fabulous time, no matter what the weather.  If your hotel has an indoor pool, that is a great way to pass the time and have fun together.

Thank you,
Anna G.

This is a rather off the OC path....however....I love going to Ocean City, MD every year when possible. Each year I visit - I look for an Ocean City, MD decal for my car (not a sticker but something to stick on my car window that comes off easily if needbe). Is there a place to get such a thing?

Hi Cynthia,

If such an item existed, the best places to check would be a specialty store such as Donald's Duck Shop on 115th St. at the Gold Coast Mall in Ocean City.  You may email them at: shop@donaldsduckshoppe.com"> shop@donaldsduckshoppe.com or call them at 410-524-9177.

Another idea is to buy a sheet of flexible magnetic material and purchase an ocean city sticker like the one below, stick it on the flexible magnetic material and use it as a removable bumper sticker.

This is a bit of a different question. But im going to be moving to ocean city in about 3 months and i was wondering if you knew of any websites or people i could talk to about finding a place to live. A year round rental preferred. Thank you for your time and any information

You can start with checking out www.forrentbyowner.com .  I would make a trip down about 2 months before you plan on moving and check the local papers out for rentals as well.  Just make sure you specify that you are looking for a year round rental instead of a seasonal one.  I live here full time and you are going to absolutely love it here!

Susan,
We own in OC and I can tell you Karl is absolutely correct, the taxes and other fees are a consideration.  That being said, we would never own a house anywhere else.  We used Ryan Ray at Prudential Carruthers.  He is very knowledgeable of the area and easy to work with.  He can be reached at 1-866-732-7926.  He will work hard to get you the best deal out there.

I'm thinking of using a timeshare week this winter are most of the restaurants and some shops open during the winter? Are there other activities going on?

Bob,
Karl gave a great answer.  The movies are also open year round as are the outlet malls.  Bring a coat and take a walk on the beach.  Remember, OC is warmer than its surrounding areas due to the water.
