Peggy,
The boardwalk goes essentially from the Inlet at the south of town to 28th Street..... approximately 2.5 miles....... While you say you'd like to stay in walking distance to "everything", I need to know more about what your perception of "everything" is..... If you want to be in the hub of action, I suggest you stay at 9th Street and below.... if you want to be in "walking distance" to everything on the boardwalk, I'd say that you stay between 12th and 27th Street... this way, you can walk to and from all boardwalk attractions, but have some peace and quiet when you return to your room. Here are a few suggestions on places to stay....
1. Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites, 17th Street and Boardwalk

http://www.ocbreakers.com/ Peggy, those are some of the nicer hotels along the boardwalk..... I hope that one of them suits what you are looking for. You could also give the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce a call (410) 213-0552

Ocean City looks forward to hosting you on your first visit to the town.... I promise you, as my other Insider colleagues will agree, you will fall in love with this town, and want to visit Ocean City every year for year's to come!!!! Have a great time!Â
