We have a RV that goes on the back of our truck ... no wheels ... it is a truck camper. We intend to stay a night or two on Assateague Island but we have family that lives in Montego Bay and we want to know if we can park on their street.

When does the beach close down for swimming and when does the boardwalk close down? I wanted to go down September 9th-12th, just making sure everything will still be available.

The beach never closes.  If you can stand it, you can get in the ocean at any time!  Also, stuff is always open.   In September, you will be good!  Great time to be in OC.

My 9 yr old grandson wants to go fishing while we are in Ocean City Maryland, I like to fish as well. Would you recommend a 1/2 day fishing or just a 2 hr fishing trip and who would you recommend that is reliable and reasonably priced? This would be his first salt water fishing trip. He has fished in the lake at my aunt's house and we have caught lots of sunnies and small & large mouth bass. I would love for him to have a great experience.

Susan,

I would suggest that you check into one of the following marina's as to what they have to offer so far as day fishing trips go.... I would recommend a 2 hour trip for a 9 year old... especially if it is his first time.... you never know what to expect.  Hope you two have fun!!!!!

Where are some good spots on the ocean and bayside to take photographs of: 1) sunrise/sunset 2) beach landscape?

Charlotte,

I have taken what has amounted to be thousands of pictures like you are mentioning... first of all, there is no bad place on the beach to take photos of sunrise... The best sunrise pictures are taken when you use the surf line to judge the bottom of your photo... that way, all you get is ocean, sky and the sun... hopefully there are some cool clouds distorting the sun somehow... I have several that I've take that I've blown up and have framed and hung in my home.  Sunset, I'd go to Bahia Marina and have dinner at Fish tales... great sunset views, or... my personal favorite is Seacrets... you get awesome views of the sun setting there... so far as beach landscape goes, I'd head to north Ocean City if you want dunes and beach grass in the landscape picture... Also, I've taken some great shots on the Inlet Jetty.... that's a great place to get some super shots... Have fun!!!!!!  Fill up your memory card!!
