I have a killer food product and I want to sell it in Ocean City MD. I will be using a small trailer kiosk for sales. I was wondering after all the licensing is taken care, where I am allowed to locate it. Are there certain parts of the boardwalk that I can role my kiosk onto? Or side streets maybe 4th or 5th street? Thank you

Brenda,

Here's a couple suggestions to locate a multi-day wheelchair rental:

1.  http://ococean.com/explore-oc/general-oc-information  This site specifically provides information relating to beach wheelchairs.

2.       Assawoman Wheelchair Rentals

508 Seaweed Ln

Where are good marinas to take my kids to? We would like to see the fishermen bring in their daily catch. We have been down to MR Ducks on Talibot St. When I was young, I was at a larger Marina, and not sure where it was. We stay at the Spinnaker, so I am not sure if there are any good places around there.

Pam,

Try West Ocean City and the marinas in that area.  We particularly enjoy Sunset Marina.  There is a great restaurant, Harborside, right in that area and you will enjoy sitting on the deck and they have great food.

As you mentioned, the marina next to MR Ducks is good.  Another one to try is up by FishTales, which is Bahia Marina (www.bahiamarina.com).

Not only will you see boaters, but FishTales is a great place to eat with children.  There is a large wooden play ship in a fenced area for the kids, arcade for older kids, and the food, drinks, service, and views are great.  Kids get their meals served on a take home frisbee.

Have a great time!

Hello there, a friend and I are going to ocean city, but only for 1 full day. I was wondering if it's okay for 2 17 year olds to be in ocean city alone together?

Jennifer,

Normally it's not an issue for 17year olds; you will have a great time taking advantage of the "FREE" beaches, numerous food options, and exciting amusement rides.

Have fun!

I want to take my 6 nieces to Ocean City for the first time, the first weekend in May. they are ages 3,5,6,7,10, and 13 years old - all girls. Myself, and my two sisters will accompany them, all girls trip! my question is two part and are as follows: first of all, when are the boardwalk rides, stores, shops and arcades offically open? Second part question: can u name a few motels that are inexpensive, even if they are a few miles away from the boardwalk? I mean staying on the boardwalk would be great, but its probably out of my budget. I would like to have an "open" pool at the motel too. Let's face it, Icant watch 6 kids in an ocean that they have never been in before! We plan to leave 6am on saturday morning, spend the night and come home sunday..... I am hoping that 450.00 will be enough money to go!

Michele,

You will have a great "Girls Weekend" in OC.  The younger girls will truly enjoy Trimper's rides on the boardwalk, specifically the inside rides.  They are open in the spring, but recommend you call to verify they will be open.  Trimper's telephone number is 410-289-8617.

Jolly Rogers also has boardwalk rides, and then their main location on 30th Street with mini-golf, go karts, water park, and arcade.  Check out their website for hours (http://www.jollyrogerpark.com/parkinfo_hours.php).

My two girls, age 7 and 9, truly enjoy Bucanner's Arcade (http://www.buccaneersbootyoc.com/) on 146th Street and the Old Pro Golf locations, specifically the indoor location at 68th Street (http://www.oldprogolf.com/).  There are normally discount coupons for both locations in the Sunny Day catalog.

As for hotels, there are so many great hotels to choose from that it would be hard to narrow down.  I recommend you go to www.ococean.com in the accommodations section.  You can select the type of hotel, location, amenities, etc. and it will give you a complete listing.  If you still are not sure after finding a location, check back with the Insiders as we can provide you some insight into the hotel.

Don't forget to check the specials page for all the hotels, many are offering specials this time of year.

Another accommodations option is a condo, especially with the number of girls attending.  You could find a condo that provides all the amenities of home.  If this is an option you may consider, I recommend Coldwell Banker Vacations (www.cbvacations.com).  Call and speak with a vacation specialist (our favorite is Breezy Kammermaier), give them your list of desired amenities, price range, and they will try and find something that meets all your requirements. There is a minimum night stay required so this may not work within your desired timeframe.

Don't forget a stop at FishTales -- it's a great restaurant for kids and adults.  Kids get their meal served on a take-home frisbee and get to play on a wooden boat or in the arcade.  Adults, get to put their toes in the sand, have a cold beverage, and enjoy the scenes!

No matter where you stay, everyone will have a great time in OC.  You can enjoy all OC has to offer on any budget!

Kristy,

The weather is great - well guess we should say normally.  Weather lately has been anything but normal :-)

There are so many places on the boardwalk to select from - I recommend going to www.ococean.com and checking the accommodations page.  You can select the amenities, location, etc. that you are looking for in a hotel.  Then check availability - don't forget to check the specials page.  Many hotels offer specials or discounts.

Have a great time!

Does anyone know the least expensive way I can get from the Salisbury Airport to North 1st St in Ocean City?

Kathie,

My suggestion is to contact Bay Runner Shuttle.  I know they service the Salisbury Airport, so I'm assuming they will transfer to and from 1st Street, OC.

The website is http://www.bayrunners.com/.

Hope you have a great trip!

Ryan,

Schools are normally back in session, so vacationers tend to be fewer for the entire week.

We are normally in OC for Fireman's Convention, a weekend or two in July, and then again in August before school starts and even though it's the peak time, I don't really feel overcrowded.  There's so much to do, see, and enjoy that it's normally not an issue.

There is an Arts & Craft Festival at the Convention Center on Labor Day weekend, so that may be fun and different.  You can visit www.ococean.com/events for more information.

The weather will be great this time of the year, so you will have fun.
