What can I do for my girlfriend for her 27th birthday?

Here are some ideas:

- Take her to a great romantic dinner watching the sunset at Fager's Island or The Hobbit

- Take a cruise at sunset n the Judith M

- Party it up at Seacrets!

- Buy her an awesome gift, maybe an OC bracelet at Park Place Jewelers or other jewelry from  Somerset South

- Do something unexpected - play laser tag, go mini golfing, ride go carts, go to Marty's Playland for some fun and games!

Have a great birthday bash in Ocean City!

What are the parking laws for small utility trailers?
Submitted by Rob H, Baltimore, on September 4, 2012

Insider since: 2010
From 1 June to 15 September oversized vehicles are not allowed to park on any public street or municipal parking lot. An oversized vehicle is defined as one that exceeds either 21' 2" long or 6' 8" wide.

You can park boat trailers overnight (for a fee) at the parking lot at 100th Street, and may also be able to park other larger vehicles there too.

You can also park vehicles for the day at the West OC park and ride lot for free. The restrictions for that lot are shown below:

Are there recycling bins in Ocean City?

There are not recycling bins in Ocean City. All waste goes in the trash container. However, metals included in waste are removed and recycled at the disposal site. You can read more about Ocean City's 2010 decision related to recycling here.

Is there room on a bus to put a beach chair?

I've seen plenty of people on the bus with chairs. They sit them in front of their knees, or hold them on their laps.  I've even seen them hold them beside them in the aisles, but that is frowned upon by riders who are standing. I would say it pretty much depends on the size of the chair.

Hi, we are staying on 64th street and coastal highway. We will be having some guests come to stay the night. Is free parking available on the side street of 64th street ocean side? Also is there any free parking available near the boardwalk? Thank you!

I have stayed right at 64th Street for several years (both in the Surfcaster and Surf's Edge). There is lots of free street parking in this area and I have never had trouble finding an extra spot (except sometimes on Saturday mornings). I left one car on the street for a week this year with no issues. Just be sure to look at the signs. Some spots in this area have restricted parking times to allow for trash pickup and street cleaning (especially 63rd Street)

Parking on the side streets near the boardwalk is free north of 10th Street.

I will be staying at 11700 Coastal Highway, Ocean City, Maryland 21842, I would like to know what is in walking distance and how close to the ocean?

That is the address for the Carousel Resort. It is right on the beach so you are just a couple of hundred yards from the edge of the ocean! I stayed at the Carousel last spring, and it is a great place

The Carousel has lots of on-site amenities including a restaurant, indoor pool, and an ice skating rink. You can easily walk to three shopping centers and to lots of places including a Food Lion, CVS, Wawa, Hooters, Ice Cream Castle, McDonalds, Dumsers, Mini Golf, Dunkin Donuts, Northside Park and several restaurants. All are within 8 blocks of the Carousel.

Where can you park a motorhome for the day?
Submitted by Teri L, Bear, on August 25, 2012
Centreville, VA
Insider since: 2010
It depends when you will be in OC. Ocean City places significant restrictions on all large vehicles, including RVs. RVs and other oversized vehicles may not park in any municipal lot, public street or alley between June 1 and September 15. An oversized vehicle is defined as 21 feet, 2 inches or more in length, and 6 feet, 8 inches in width, needing more than one parking space. For more information, call the Ocean City Police Department at 410.723.6610.

Some places where you can park are:

You can park in the West OC Park and Ride for the day, but you cannot park overnight there. This lot is on the south side of Route 50, just west of the Route 50 bridge to OC. You cannot park there overnight.

The First Presbyterian Church at 13th Street has parking. Call them at 410.289.9340 for reservations and fees.

The Kitchen, a restaurant on Wicomico Street in downtown Ocean City used to have parking and may still. Fee charged. This is just a couple of blocks from the inlet parking lot. Call 410.289.2244 for more information.

You can get lots more info here.

Here is the info for the Park & Ride lot:
