You can park on the side streets of Ocean city overnight and can leave you car for several days. I have done this often with no problems. Just check the street to be sure there are no posted restrictions.

Have a great trip!

There are electric scooter rental places all over town. I believe you need to have a valid driver's license and wear a helmet while riding on one. Here are a few places:

OC Scooter Rentals, 58th Street, 410.525.0209. Here is a $4 off coupon

Fun Cycles, 26th Street, 410.289.5858

Continental Cycles, 72nd Street, 410.524.1313

I am planning a vacation with my mom & sister the week of 9/19 to 9/24th. I got thinking is the boardwalk & everything else still open?

Yes, almost everything except the large amusement parks and tour boat rides will be open. Pier Rides and Trimper's amusement parks will likely be open on the weekends.

Many places in OC are open year round on the weekends, and even mid week in the deep off season I find plenty of places that are open.

Have a great trip!

My guess would be yes.  However you will need to contact the town for a permit for next season.  Here is a link to an article on the matter:  http://mdcoastdispatch.com/articles/2011/03/18/Top-Stories/Council-Approves-Designated-Boardwalk-Performer-Spots

My family and I want to have an sunrise oceanside memorial service for my mom. We were looking for what would be the best location, somewhere near a walkway for our elderly family we have coming any suggestions?

I'd suggest somewhere near the inlet at the south end of town. If you go to the east of the inlet parking lot there are some walkways out onto the beach, and the beach is not too wide between the east edge of the parking lot and the water.

Northside Park has a large covered picnic area near the playground. You may want to call them to see if you can reserve it for a large group (410.250.0125).

What park has parking lots?

There is generally parking available near all of OC's parks.

Northside Park at 125th Street has parking. It is the biggest park in OC. It has fields, trails, a gym, a crabbing pier, picnic areas, and a large playground.

There are paid public parking lots right near the Inlet Park and Sunset Park.

Gorman Park is a small park at 136th has a parking area and a playground and picnic area

Little Salisbury Park on 94th has a parking lot, tennis courts, and a playground.

Robin Park at 28th Street has some street parking in the area, but this is a busier section of town so you may have a little bit more trouble finding a spot (probably not though)

North Surf Park
and Fiesta Park  are both near 141st Street have plenty of street parking

You can get lots of information on all of OC's parks here: http://ococean.com/things-to-do/oc-local-parks-and-playgrounds

What Buses do I take from Gaithersburg, MD to get to Ocean City, MD

I know of no buses directly from Gathersburg, but if you can get to a Metro or MARC train to BWI or New Carrollton , then you can get to OC! Here are two options:

You can take the Bayrunner Shuttle from BWI airport. It is about $100 each way. More information can be found at http://www.bayrunners.com/. They run several times a day.

You can also take the Greyhound bus from New Carrollton, MD. It leaves from the metro station there. (call 800.231.2222 or go to https://www.greyhound.com/farefinder/step1.aspx to reserve tickets). There is one bus a day which leaves New Carrollton at 11:35AM and arrives in OC at 3PM. You don't need to change buses, and the 3.5 hour time is not bad for a bus trip to OC. Cost is between $30 and $60 dollars depending when you buy your ticket and other options you select.

The bus runs as far north as the bus station platform at 144th Street, just 2 blocks south of the MD/DE state line.

More bus information can be found here.
