I am very sorry that you had a bad experience in OC.  Please do contact the OC Chamber of Commerce who works very hard to make sure people are not taken advantage of.

Does anyone remember a serious storm in OC @ the late '80s, during the Sunfest; Hrry Smith was there for a network live segment, a fire took place that day, on a boardwalk property. The Sunfest was salvaged the next day, sort of; but what a storm!!

Hurricane Gloria came aground in Ocean City in 1985 during Sunfest. I don't think there has been a hurricane other than that that has interrupted Sunfest.

How much is it to rent a beach chair and an umbrella for a day?

Chairs are about $8 and umbrellas $14 a day. For the week they $36 and $67. You can rent from any of the rental boxes along the beach. Below is a picture of one of these boxes and list of prices from the box at 65th Street from a couple of summers ago. Prices vary a little season to season and vendor to vendor, but not a lot.

Have fun in OC!

The Princess Royale has several honeymoon suites that have in-suite hot tubs.  They are very nice and have an oceanfront view.

If you want to be in the heart of the action, stay below 6th Street.  If you want a quieter stay, stay above 15th Street.

Comment on - Northside Park is the safest and easiest place to ride.

I have to agree with Savas.  Also, the bus lane is NOT a good idea for bikes.

No, no pets allowed on the beach/boardwalk till October 1st and pets must be on a leash at all time in OC.
My opinion, OC is not pet friendly this time of the year.

My family is coming to OC in July and we would like to get family pictures taken on the beach. Is there a company you recommend?

I prefer Scopes, they come right up to your beach towel and offer to take pics. They can be annoying sometimes but, they take great pics. Prices are pretty reasonable and they have a lot of products you can get your picture on in addition to regular pictures.

There are also a few Old Time Photo shops along the boardwalk. They'll dress you up in vintage clothing and take some really cool pics.

If you are looking for a more professional service there is Next Wave Studios and John Mick Photography (410)251-8607  I haven't used either of these photographers but, they have a good reputation in OC.
