I saw on one of your previous question/answers about parking on 100th St that is a boat approved lot. I had a few questions... 1) Does the $50 per week include a boat/trailer? 2) Do I need to call in advance for the weekly permit? 3) Is there a security guard or parking attendant 24x7? 4) With the weekly permit, can I take out my vehicle during the day and bring it back at night without additional charges? Thanks in advance

Yes, you can park both the boat and trailer there. There is no need to call in advance. There is a kiosk at the entrance to the lot. You use a debit or credit card to pay and get a recipt to put on the trailer. Bags are provided  There is not an attendant on duty, but the OCPD does patrol the lot frequently. There is not a gate, so you an enter and exit the lot anytime.  We use this lot often.   The closest ramp is a public one in the Little Salisbury neighborhood of OC.  Just be sure not to park your trailer there while you boat.  You will be ticketed. Return your trailer to the lot.

Have fun boating on OC!

My family and I are coming to OC and I would like to have a family picture on the beach what studio would you recommend? And also my son loves boats what is the best time to go to the inlet and watch the boats come in or go out? Thanks.

The best time to watch boats is in the early morning and the early evening. This is also a good time to spot dolphins in the inlet.  Another good spot to watch boats is the 2nd to 4th St. pier on the bayside.  Two hours on either side of the high tide is prime time.  Head to Fish Tales and the Bahia Marina on 21st and the bay to see charter boats up close.  Great family friendly restaurant too!

Cross the Rt. 50 bridge an take a left at the Royal Farms store (Golf Course Rd.) follow it about 1/2 mile to the Commercial Fishing Harbor to see the big fishing vessels.  If you are lucky you can watch as they offload the day's catch!

Stayed on 17th Street at H.I. during Cruisin' OC but returning to the hotel after dark found we didn't have a parking spot. I need to find a hotel down on the other end around 100 St or more. Some hotels down there have truck and trailer parking. Anyone with suggestions? Prefer a decent hotel please.

The Carousel on 118th St has a annex parking lot for trailers.  They also have a parking garage next door, so parking is not a problem. It si one of my favorite hotels!

Most hotels do not offer veteran discounts but will offer the AAA discount if you ask.  You can also find discounted rates at ocisfree.com, ococean.com, priceline.com and kayak.com.

Hi! Our new favorite (low-guilt) dessert is frozen yogurt, and in our area (South Jersey) frozen yogurt chains are popping up everywhere (Berry Creamy, YoGo Factory, Berri Yummi). There are several flavors and toppings, and you pay by the ounce. Are there any in/near Ocean City? Thanks!

Try TCBY and Bodacious Buckets for great yogurt and low-fat custard.  There is also the Ice Cream Castle which serves frozen yogurt.  They are not pay-by-the-ounce places, but offer quality products and toppings at great prices.

You should check with the condo manager at the place you are staying or contact the realtor.

I would like to play on the boardwalk this summer. I sing and I would be accompanied by guitarists. I would like to know if all the permits have been given out this year or not.

Are there any daycare or babysitting services in OC if parents wanted to get out for a night?

There is a Wonderland Day Care in West OC, I'm not sure how late they stay open, here is their number-410-213-7096.

You could also try checking the classified ads of the local papers when you get there to look for babysitting services. What I recommend, and I've done this a few times, is to take one with you. That way you won't have to be worried about a stranger taking care of your child. One year we took my friend's younger sister, she was 14 and already knew our daughter. We rented a condo so there was plenty of room for her to sleep and we paid for her meals. Even though we didn't go out every night, it was still nice to have her around to help out.
