When is the boardwalk and all of the boardwalk activities officially open everyday?
Memorial Day is usually the kick off to summer.By then everything will be open except the the water parks which open the first of June.

I am curoius to know which part of the boardwalk is the Romantic vacationers? MidTown, North OC, West, or inlet etc?
Romantic time on the boardwalk makes me think quite, peaceful times and that leads me to say the northern end of the boardwalk.

We are planning a trip to OC for our first family vacation with our son Chase, who will be a year old on 7/1. We're looking at early June but were curious about hotels in a reasonable price range that were best for children his age - quiet at night, heated pool(s), etc.... I have a few leads but would appreciate your expert insight :)
I have young children myself so I am in your boat as well. Two hotels that accommodate nappers the best are the Princess Royale and the Holiday Inn on 17th St. Both are set up like one bedroom condos but have all the conveniences and amenities of hotels.
My other recommendation would be to rent a condo...this can be a more affordable way to go, but the downfall is you need to bring your own linens and set up when you get there. Two sites I use are www.cbvacations.com and www.lfvacations.com and they provide extensive details about the units so you know exactly what you are paying for.
Happy searching and safe travels!!

I want to live and work in Ocean City Maryland. I have some hospitality experience working at hotels and resorts and also in bars and restaurants. I also have 10 years experience as front desk receptionist. That FT year round job that I would need to obtain before I even get there is illuding me. I have my youngest son who is 14 that would be coming with me and it would be a new start for us if we could just get there and make it work.
Full-time work in Ocean City proper is limited. I suggest expanding your search area to Sussex County, DE; Berlin, MD and surrounding cities. We only have one neighbor who works full-time in Ocean City proper. Most work in surrounding areas.

I have fear of the bay bridge I need another route to Ocean City 35th street.
If itis just the Bay Bridge and not bridges in general you can take 95N to Newark/New York. Merge onto DE-1 South via 4A - Christiana Mall to DE 1 S to DE Shore Points - Route 50 Bridge. This does cross a major bridge though in Delaware.

I am planning a family fun day package for one of these day (July 28, Aug 4, or Aug 11). My family consists of approx. 45 people. This should include lunch and snacks. what are my options?
1. Jolly Rogers ( 410-289-4902 ) - not only can they provide a group rate for the water park, mini golf, go karts, etc., but offers catering services as well.
2. Hotels - many hotels have group planners that would be happy to assist you in organizing your family fun day. So whichever hotel you are staying, give them a call and ask if they have a group planner.
3. Town of OC - with 45 people contact the Tourism office to see if they can assist in planning your event.
Hope this provides a few suggestions to aid in your planning. Have a wonderful Family Fun Day!

How long of a drive is it from New York city and what is the best route to get there?
Visit the www.ococean.com/travel-tools/getting-to-oc website for all the specifics, but here's a summary:
If you're coming from Philadelphia, Trenton, New York City or points north:
Follow I-95 south into northern Delaware.
Take Exit 4B, marked "Christiana Mall," onto Delaware Route 1, south toward Dover.
South of Dover, U.S. 113 will split from Delaware 1. Follow U.S. 113 south.
Take U.S. 113 south into Maryland, then turn east on either Maryland Route 90 or U.S. 50 to Ocean City.
Approximate times and distances:
From New York City, 250 miles/5 hours
From Trenton, 200 miles/4 hours
From Philadelphia, 150 miles/3 hours
Thank you,
Anna G.

What is the weather and water temperature vary from the beginning of May to the end of May?
Weather is so hard to predict but May is when days seem to get hot and nights are still on the cool side with a nice breeze coming from the ocean. Days are between 65 - 80 degrees as nights tend to be around 45 55 degrees.

Can a boat park for free in the West OC park and ride?
Boat trailer parking is generally prohibited on public streets in Ocena City and in municipal parking lots, so I suspect the answer is no, you cannot park there. There is boat trailer parking available in the parking lot at 100th St., bayside for a fee of $10 a day or $50 a week (from April to Oct. 15).

My husband and I are planning on coming to OC next month and we were looking for hotels on the boardwalk? Also, will the boardwalk be open by then? (May 17th- 21st)Thank you
That's Cruisin' OC weekend and everything will be open on the boards. Use these sites to check for hotels:
www.ococean.com/rodney-saves/accomodations
www.ocisfree.com
www.ocean-city.com
If you haven't found a hotel yet, you may have a hard time since everyone wants to stay on the boardwalk to watch the daily car parades in the mornings. But it's a great weekend to visit. Check out the main car show at the Inlet, and the shows at the Convention Center and Hooters. Lots of fun.
