OC is truly becoming a year-round resort with many businesses remaining open throughout the year (with limited operating hours).  What will be open this weekend?
Restaurants
     *  Seacrets
     *  Greene Turtle
     *  Buxy's
     *  Fager's Island
     *  etc.
Amusements
     *  Boardwalk Arcades
     *  Boardwalk Shops
     *  Outlets
     *  Biking on the Boards
     *  Kite Flying

The outdoor rides will not be open for Spring Break.  The indoor rides at Trimper's will be open, but are more suited for the younger age children.

But, don't forget all that you can do:  go-karts in West OC, mini-golf at Old Pro, laser tag at Planet Maze, bowling, movies, biking on the boards, kite flying, seashell hunts, and so much more!

I will note that several of the townhome style units in North OC do offer grills as part of their rental amenities since their decks are more than 20' from their neighboring unit.

Many places throughout OC are open year round - such as the indoor mini-golf, restaurants, hotels, etc.  As for the boardwalk, some of the stores and attractions will not open until the 1st week of May for Springfest, however many have already started opening Thur - Sun for the weekend travelers. 

Since you will be traveling during the weekend, you will see many shops, restaurants, etc. open.  Just note it is weather driven and the operating hours are shorter than during summer.

Unfortunately there is no one answer to this question as it depends on your likes, dislikes, activities, etc.  One tool that I use to help plan my OC vacation is the www.ococean.com/travel-planner. 

Almost every activity, attraction, store, etc. in OC will accept most major credit/debit cards and there are several banks throughout town.  I normally do not carry cash just my debit card, but track my spending through my bank's phone app to ensure I stay within my budget.

Since you did not list your location, I recommend visiting www.greyhound.com or contacting them directly at (800) 231-2222. 

Once in Ocean City you can easily gain OC public transportation to get around.

A 12 year old will probably enjoy the mini-golf, arcades (several on the boards), or even a game of laser tag at Planet Maze.

There are no official dates released yet but I have heard it is coming back.  Ocean City was the largest crowd they had last year.

This a good location be to around all the action of the Boardwalk. It will be noiser at night than some locations as this is a major thoroughfare for car and foot traffic. If you want action and convenience, it is a good location. I would ensure you have parking at the house, as street parking can be hard.

Must do activities: eat at Seacrets, Fish Tales, and Dead Freddies (eat outside); lay mini-golf; spend a day and evening on the Boardwalk; walk the beach; take a trip to Assateague Island; and dance the night away at Seacrets.
