Unfortunately the weather is so unpredictable (especially after this winter!).  But the stated average is low to mid-80's.

Just bought a new travel trailer and want to go back to OC for a week's vacation - I was looking into Castaways Campground. This is located in Berlin, MD - Not sure how far this is from the beaches, etc. Last year we stayed at the Barefoot Mailman and walked to the beach. If we drive from campsite where do we park to go to the beaches? I don't remember seeing a lot of parking available on the beach side - mostly condos, hotels, etc. Thanks for your help.

A few things you can do.
1. Park at the West Ocean City Park & Ride shuttle is $1
2. A a metered parking spot along the boardwalk at multiple location.
3. Park at the inlet parking are and head to the beach from there.
4. Free street parking along bayside and walk to the beach from there.

Im planning on going to OC on April 11 to the 13. Was wondering if it would be a good time to come down. My girlfriend will be in town for my birthday week and we both love seafood. So was thinking of coming down to OC than to stay in NJ/NYC. Something different for a change. Can you guys suggest places to eat, bars, and clubs. We are not a picky couple so we can go to hole in the walls that have really good food. Thanks in advance.

Spring in OC is great.  Less crowds and great specials!

Weather can be unpredictable - it is Spring - but a brisk walk on the boards, or better yet a bike ride - wonderful!

Places to eat, bars, and clubs?

For food:
Breakfast, the buffet at Horizon's at the Clarion is wonderful and tons of food - definitely will not leave hungry!  Another favorite for breakfast is The Galley on 33rd.  Great food.
Lunch - I enjoy hitting the smaller spots, like Belly Busters on 44th, The Galley on 33rd, Tony's Pizza on the boards, or OC Frogs at the Inlet.
Dinner - Fager's Island and Seacrets normally have great specials, Harborside has great food, and seafood, if it is open Hooper's in West OC.

Bars/Clubs:
Seacrets - great atmosphere and music.  Other favorites, Greene Turtle, Bearded Clam, OC Frogs, Purple Moose, Buxy's Salty Dog, De Lazy Lizard, just to name a few.

Have a wonderful time and Happy Birthday to your girlfriend.

Good Morning. My husband and I are looking to rent a boat slip in OC, Maryland. We have a condo off of 28th St. since 2009 and we are looking to buy a boat but we need a boat slip. We are preferably looking for a private owned slip to rent. Do people down there advertise that and if so where do they advertise at so that I may research that. Thank you. CR

Craigslist and any of the local papers are your best bet; look up - boat slip ocean city.  As a point of reference my neighbor rents at a local small dock in Fenwick Island and rent is $1,300 for the season for just dockage fees.

Hello! After accepting a job in the DelMarVa area (and based out of OC), I will be relocating to Ocean City within the next 60 days. However, I am a bit unsure where to look. I've found it very difficult to locate year round rentals within OC. I've check nearby in Salisbury, and although some complexes seem nice and the rent is pretty affordable, the area just doesn't seem like what a young professional is looking for (not to mention I hear it's rather unpleasant at times). Any insider tips as where I could look for year round rentals or contacts to reach out to?

The best thing for you to do is to attend the job fair at the Convention Center on March 17th.  Everyone who is hiring will be there, and you should have no problem finding a job.

Because it is still too cold to spend most time on the beach, OC does not get big college/high school spring break crowds. However, what they do get would mostly be from 15 March to 15 April. OC does get a large high school crowd for senior weeks during the first 3 weeks of June. Have fun in OC.

Not a store, but a great restaurant for gluten free diets and people with allergies is Brianna's Bananas Cafe on 117th St.
