How would I get information on a dedication for one of the Boardwalk benches? Thank you ! ! !

Bench dedications cost $1,400 which covers the cost of the bench and the plaque. They are handled by the Department of Public Works. I recommend calling them at 410.524.0391 to get more information. Don't delay, at the start of last summer there were less than 100 benches left to purchase for dedication, and they expected them to be sold by the end of the year.

From their website (http://oceancitymd.gov/public_works/benchdedication.html):
The Public Works Maintenance Division is offering individuals the opportunity to purchase a bench and plaque in honor of or in memory of a loved one or friend. The benches are located on the boardwalk from the Inlet to 27th Street. The cost for the bench and plaque is $1,400. Please contact the Public Works Maintenance Division at 410.524.0391 to obtain the bench dedication form that will need to be completed.

Is the Festival of Lights with the tram ride open on Christmas Eve (Saturday night) And is there a resturant open for dinner and where?

Yes the Festival and Tram rides will both be open Christmas Eve night.  As for restaurants, many are closing early.  There is a very good Olive Tree right next to Northside Park, and the Blue Ox is right there as well.  It would make your evening very convenient to be all in one place.

I bought my 3 yr old granddaughter a t-shirt on the boardwalk this past summer while vacationing in Ocean City, MD. After she wore it a few times, the decal came off. She was very disappointed. Is there any place where I can purchase another one in size 4-6 children with flip-flops on it? She would be thrilled! Thank you for your time.

Hello. The boardwalk starts on 1st street and goes through 27th 28th st area.  The boards may go lower but there are no motels or hotels there. It starts on 1st with amusements, eateries, shops and fun.  There are many hotels on the boardwalk or ocean side if you dont want oceanfront. I always stay oceanside because I dont like crossing busy Coastal highway.I always stay at the Spinnaker on 18th a few feet from the boardwalk.  www.ocmotels.com  Another great place to stay is the grand and it is awesome! www.grandhoteloceancity.com  There is also a Days Inn that gets high ratings. www.daysinnboardwalk.com  There is a great place Harrison hall on the boardwalk near 15th street. The Holiday Inn on 17th is superb. www.ocsuites.com Start checkig out those properties. i always find they keep the oceanside and boardwalk properties well kept and maintained throughout the year and everything is so nice. happy holidays.

Good afternoon. I am searching for a hotel to have a religious retreat for one of the ministries in my church. We are looking to have it in mid-to-late October 2012. We are looking for information on lodging, meeting space, audio visual needs, and meals. We are not looking for a convention center, just hotel or retreat accommodations. Thank you very much in advance for your assistance and I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards, Sabrina

I'd suggest the Clarion at 101st Street (800.638.2100) or Holiday Inn at 67th Street (800.837.3588). Both of these hotels are nice, have plenty of rooms, and offer meeting rooms and catering for meetings and events like yours.

My boyfriend and I plan on coming to OC for Christmas eve christmas and the day after. I always loved the boardwalk and was wondering if any of those bars will be open on Christmas eve and if there were any restaurants open on Christmas day. Any input would be helpful.

Ocean City will be relatively quiet, but you will find places open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. My family spent last Christmas in OC and we had a great time (including four kids ages 9 to 16) and we found plenty to do. We had Christmas dinner at Captain's Table in the Courtyard by Marriott. This is a nice restaurant with excellent food. Many other restaurants in major hotels were also open Christmas Day and Christmas Eve. I recall we had several choices to pick from, but I don't recall exactly which ones. I am fairly certain Victoria Room in Dunes Manor, Harpoon Hannas,  Fager's Island, Horizons in the Clarion, and BJs by the Water were all open Christmas Day. Several of the bars along the boardwalk were also open Christmas Eve and even more places were days other than Christmas, especially Friday - Sunday.

Have a Merry Christmas in OC!
