Where can I find the board walk web cams?

There are several websites with webcams. Unless noted they are all working as of noon on 29 August 2011. Here are a few of my favorites:

All of the Town of OC's webcams on one page: http://oceancitymd.gov/allcams.html. On the banner on the top of the page under webcams you can select a camera to see a larger view of

A view of the boardwalk from Marty's Playland: http://www.oceancitycam.com/

A great live video view of the BW from Park Place Jewelers: http://www.parkplacejewelers.com/webcam

A view from the Spinnaker Motel: http://www.ocmdhotels.com/webcams. This one seemed to stay up through the entire hurricane recently.

From the Ocean Gallery: http://www.oceangallery.com/cam-big.asp. Still down from the storm

From the Kite Loft: http://www.kiteloft.com/beachcam

From three of Harrison's Properties: http://www.ocmdhotels.com/webcams. Go to indivdual pages to view and control each camera

From the Castle in the Sand: http://surfcam.castleinthesand.com/appletvid.html?width=1216?height=544. Not on the boardwalk, but a great widescreen view of the beach. Still messed up from the storm.

From Fish Tales: http://www.ocfishtales.com/webcam.cfm. A great view of the bay (hit play in the window)

Enjoy a great view of OC on the web!

You could take a Greyhound to OC. You probably wouldn't need to rent a car, the bus runs 24 hours at $3 per day.

Hello. Trying to plan a trip for the summer of 2012 for three couples and two singles (total of 8 guests)What places are recommended for our large party? We are interested in accommodations close to the ocean/boardwalk, preferably more than one bathroom, and of course AFFORDABLE! We would prefer close to the boardwalk to give the group an option to freely explore and split up with the convenience of meeting at our centrally located lodging. Also prefer a non highrise building and atmosphere pleasing to our group in our late 20's/early 30's. What can you recommend? I appreciate any assistance.

I would start your search looking at condos. You can narrow your search by bedroom(s), bathroom(s) and location. The condo rental agencies in OC are

The only laws apply to the boardwalk. There is a nice bike trail to Assateague, you turn on route 611. You'll see the signs for Assateague when you're coming into OC via route 50.

Bicycles

You may enjoy riding your bike on the Boardwalk at the following times:

From Saturday of Memoral Day weekend through Labor Day, between 2:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. of the same day.

From Tuesday after Labor Day through Friday before Memorial Day, at any time, subject to the following exceptions:

Springfest and Sunfest (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) between 2:00 a.m. and 12 p.m. of the same day.

Are the Boardwalk and shops open toward the end of October?

Weather permitting, yes you will see several shops still open, specifically on the weekends.  Many are remaining open all year on weekends, again weather permitting.

We have been in OC in November, December, February, March and April and been on the beach, boards, and shopping.  By the way, great deals!

Don't forget all the great outlet shopping in West OC.  Tons of great shops, eateries, and places to visit.

Thank you,
