You can go to Harley Davidson of Ocean City to get 2010 biker tees:  www.hdoceancity.com  Call them at 410-629-1599.

Here's an online site for OC teeshirts:  www.zazzle.com/ocean+city+gifts

I am not sure if you can order by phone with Sunsations or any other store but Sunsations locations can be found at:  www.sunsationsusa.com/stores2.html

Fat Cats on the Boardwalk is 410-289-2288
T-Shirt Factory # is 410-213-9650
Ocean Wave Limited up at the Gold Coast Mall # is 410-524-7018

The other option is going to ebay.com and typing in Ocean City MD tee Shirts

Do people continue to swim in the Ocean the last weekend in September? Are the hotel outdoor pools still open? Are there alot of good summer sales going on? Any shops open and cheaper on the boardwalk? Any great deals anywhere, restaurant wise or entertainment wise since it's off season?

You can swim anytime from the beaches of OC. The water is still warm in September (I've had my kids swim as late in the year as Thanksgiving!) and you can have a great swim.

Be aware that 26 September is the last day beach patrol staff are guarding the beach. There are fewer of them than in July and August, and they may only be at the south end of town. After this day the guards (and OC police) patrol the beaches on ATVs and SUVs, but the coverage is pretty infrequent.

Outdoor pools at some places may still be open this weekend, but most will be closed. Check with the place where you plan to stay to find out. Several places now also have indoor pools including the Flamingo, Holiday Inn, The Grand, and the Hilton.

Most restaurants will still be open this weekend.Check out some of the other postings for great suggestions, a few include Harborside, Captain's Table, Seacrets, Dead Freddies. If fish Tales is still open they are also an excellent choice.

In terms of deals on the BW, you will see some. As it gets deeper into the off season you will see more and better deals as places liquidate this year's merchandise.

Another great deal this weekend is Sunfest - lots of vendors, free entertainment and free concerts. Check out this link for more information: http://ococean.com/events/sunfest

Have a great trip. I'm going the first weekend in October and can't wait to get back down there!

Merle,

Go to Mapquest as they provide step by step driving directions, but ultimately you'll be coming in off Route 50 according to this site.

Thank you,

Elexis,

Fat Cats is great for those types of items.  I believe it is located around 1st Street on the boardwalk.

Activities, great time to visit - it's SUNFEST!!!  Check out this website for all the scheduled activities - http://www.oceancitymd.gov/Recreation_and_Parks/specialevents.html

Have a wonderful time!

We are planning to visit ocean city last week in Sept.  and would like to know if all the shops on the boardwalk are still open this late in season ..does the trolley still operate ..how about the amusement park @end of boardwalk??

Connie,

The outdoor amusement rides at the inlet and Jolly Rogers on 32nd will be closed.  However the indoor rides and games at the inlet will be open, as will the many arcades on the boardwalk and throughout the town.

In addition, the mini-golf courses will be open, the go-karts, as well as many shops on the boardwalk (some may haved reduced operating times).

Not sure if you are looking at the boardwalk tram or the Bus, but the bus will be running, just on a reduced quantity; and as for the boardwalk tram I don't believe it will be in operation the last week of September.  But perhaps another Insider can clarify their operation after Sunfest.

Have a great vacation - I love OC in the fall!

Just wondering if there is any transportation between OC and Chincoteague Island? We are staying in Chincoteague for the week but would love to come to OC for the day. Are there any boat trips or bike paths etc... between the two

The distance between the two is about 60 miles.  I haven't been able to find any info about any kind of boat tours that would let you get off and walk around OC for the day. I only found nature cruises.
http://www.crisfield.com/naturesbest/

But here's a source for driving directions from Chincoteague and OC. According to these directions, total driving time is less than 90 minutes.

Someone told me parking is free for those with handicap tags. We are trying to verify if this is true...We are vacationing there as of this Saturday, 9/18/10. Thank you for any assistance. Also, if anyone knows of any discounts for Senior Citizens.

For the Hugh Cropper (Inlet) parking lot:

In order to accommodate our physically challenged patrons, a 90-minute grace period is in place. In addition, handicap parking spaces are located near the beach as well as the boardwalk. However, if the length of time spent in the parking lot is 91-minutes or more, the person will have to pay for the entire time spent in the parking lot in accordance with the parking fees listed below:

31 - 40 minutes            $1.00

41 - 50 minutes           $1.25

51 minutes - 1 hour     $1.50

Additional Time            $.25 per 10 minutes

FOR ADDITIONAL PARKING INFORMATION, PLEASE CALL 410-723-1606.

We are coming to Ocen City, on the first week-end in October for Cars on the Boardwalk, wanted to know where to park an extra car and Car Trailer for our extra guests, The Hotel we are staying at is the Spinaker.

On 100th St., bayside. There is a boat trailer approved lot. Fee for this lot is $10 a day or $50 a week, April to Oct. 15.

You may also park an extra car in the West Ocean City park and ride for free.  It is on route 50 (12848 Ocean Gateway).

Before you do any of the above, check with the Spinaker.  They may be more leniant with the extra car and/or trailer if the hotel is not booked 100%.

Jim,

Not positive, perhaps another Insider can confirm, but believe the name of the business is Photo Magic located on 5th and Boardwalk.  They take your photo and place into celebrity backdrops (ie Superman, Dora, etc.).

Thank you,
