There was a place which I remember from last year in OC where you could see what people had found in the surf that turned out to be valuable. I can't find this place but want to go there this year. Can you direct me?

You probably mean the Life Saving Museum or Sea Shell City.

Is there a picnic area on the beach for grilling?

There are no picnic areas or grills on the beach, and no open fires or grills are allowed on the beach without a permit. You can get more information about regulations and permitting here: http://oceancitymd.gov/Fire_Department/FireMarshal/forms/BonfirePermit.pdf. You are also not allowed to grill within about 20 feet of any multi-unit building which means you cannot grill on the balcony of condos or motels.

However, several city parks, including Northside Park, at 127th Street have picnic areas and grills available for free public use. There are also some condos and hotels that have grills and picnic tables on their land behind the dune line available for guests to use. The Windjammer at 46th Street is one such place.

Do you know if they rent out the beach wheelchairs? If so, where do you go to rent them?

You can get beach wheelchairs for free in OC!

The town offers free access to beach wheelchairs in several locations. You can only use them on the beach and may not take them in the water.

There are wheelchairs available at the beach end of several streets including Inlet Lot, 7th St., 27th St., 30th St., 40th St., 48th St., 59th St., 70th St., 81st St., 89th St., 94th St., 107th St., 120th St., 130th St., 139th St., 145th St. They are free and are provided on a first come first serve basis from 10am to 5pm. The Beach Patrol staff can provide access. Chairs must be used within one block (one north and south) of where the chair is assigned and kept. Chairs are available from these locations from about Memorial Day to Labor Day.

The beach chairs are first-come-first-serve, but are generally available. If you want to be more certain of getting a chair, they are also available at the Ocean City Police Department at 65th St., bayside, for one or multi-days of use by advance reservation. Call 410-723-6610 for more information,

In addition, beach wheelchairs are also available from the Ocean City Visitors Center in the Convention Center on 40th St. for one to three days of use by advance reservation. Call 410-289-2800 for more information.

Be aware that these beach wheelchairs are large and do not fold up. They require a fairly large vehicle to transport (check with the people you talk to to see if it will fit in your vehicle). The chairs on the beach locations are stored at the west side of the dunes or along the boardwalk.

The Plim Plaza is a good choice, as is the Spinnaker Hotel.  Both offer nice accomodations for a day at the beach.

This is my first time to go to Ocean City. What is the best affordable place to stay that would accommodate my family of 8 (6 kids, mother and father). I only need 1 night and am unsure if I have to get two hotel rooms or if there is a bed and breakfast that would take us all. Please help

I recommend the Econolodge.  You can get 2 adjoining rooms with 2 queen beds in each.  The Fenwick Inn will provide similar accomodations as well.  The Econolodge is just closer to the beach.

What is the weather like in November in OC? My fiance and I were thinking of taking a smaller honeymoon and thought maybe a trip to OC would be great. What is still open? Is the boardwalk open? The amusement park? We just would like an idea so we know how to plan our trip. Thank you for your help. Tammy & Mike
