How much is it to rent an umbrella and chairs from the vendors on the beach? I'm staying on 33rd street and I know their setup there but I need to know the price.

Meghane,

I don't know the rental costs.  We purchased sand chairs and umbrellas from the local stores like Sunsations, Rose's, CVS and Walmart.  Last year I purchased a sand chair at CVS for $12 and we are still using it.

Thank you,

Hi, I would like to know the name of the street directly on the beach. I would like to reserve a motel there so we don't have to take the car to go on the beach. Also, I would like to know if there is a dolphin cruise. Thank you.

Baltimore Ave. runs from the inlet to 33rd st (boardwalk ends at 27th) then it ends and becomes Coastal Hwy from there on out. Coast Hwy runs up into Delaware and is the main hwy. So if your looking for lodging near the boardwalk look for ocean front or oceanblock which will be on the oceanside of Baltimore Ave. Keep in mind just about everything is walking distance to the beach in Ocean City . Have fun.

Does the boardwalk have a wi-fi cafe or wi-fi in general?

We are bringing a trailer with us to haul a motorcycle for the week while vacationing in OC. Is there a parking lot that we can take the trailer to and leave for the week? We are staying in a townhouse for the week that has a garage and the trailer will not fit in a garage. It is not a huge trailer just enough for 2 bikes. Thanks.

My family will be in OC at the end of Aug. My cousins want to meet up with us, but they want to come by boat across the bay. Is there a public marina where they could rent a slip for a night? Thanks in advance.

The two marinas that I have used in the past are Sunset Marina and Bahai Marina. Check out their websites:

Below is a picture of Fishtales I took from the boat which is at Bahai Marina.

We are coming to OC on Monday August 16th. We will be taking Greyhound to the bus station at 12848 Ocean Gateway. We are staying at the Sahara. What is the best way to get from the bus station to the hotel?

Dana,

OC offers bus transportation over to the inlet and then pick up the bus to 19th Street and the Sahara.  Other alternatives, and direct route, cab.  The OC cabbies are great and rates are very reasonable.  Juat remember to ask how much before you load in the cab.  Then you know up front the cost.  Here are just a few numbers - call ahead to get pricing and compare.  Many will allow you to reserve before arrival:

International - (410) 289-6666
City - (410) 723-4222
A Coastal - (410) 289-8294

Have a great vacation.

You have many options.  There is places to rent them outside your hotel on the beach.  It can be expensive, especially if you stay an entire week.

You may also buy them for much cheaper at Sunsations, Walmart, or Roses which is on 94th St.  You can keep them or at the end of the week, put a note on them that they are not broken and are free to anyone and lay them against one of the blue trash containers located all over the beach,

The third option is to rent them and have them delivered to your hotel by PMI rentals.  www.pmirentals.com

At PMI. chairs can be rented for $12 a week and umbrellas can be rented for $26 a week.  410-250-1251

There are 4 of us coming to Ocean City the end of August. We booked one room for the 4 of us. The one couple are leaving from there to go on to the next stop of their trip. We are only allowed one car. So where can they park for that week in Ocean City and leave their car or is there no such parking? Thank you.

Anyone been to the new Quiet Storm on boardwalk? Is it as nice and the other one?

Everyone remembers Edwards on the boardwalk.  Edwards is still there but much smaller.  The space is now largely occupied by Quiet Storm.  We were in there recently and were quite impressed with the layout.  I think you will like it also.
