We are renting on 8th street July 18th-21st. Unfortunately there isn't any parking or pool. Does anyone know any close pool or parking facilities that we can pay for? We are taking 5 kids. Thanks

There is a fantastic water park on 30th St. called Splash Mountain at Jolly Roger. It is too far to walk from 8th but they have free parking for guests or you can hop on the bus. It stops right in front of the park. Here is more info:http://jollyrogerpark.com/

Hi.  You would have to visit the shop you are interested in working and apply directly.  Also keep in mind the town hosts a job fair every April.  The best time to apply for a boardwalk job is Sept. so that you can work a few months but for the following summer they will call you back.  Good luck and best wishes.

Hi, I'm bringing my student workers to OC in August as an ice breaker/team building type of event. They all are from different parts of the US. Any suggestions on cultural activities etc. Places to visit?

hi Felicia,

What a great idea!  Besides the beach, I recommend that you view the history of OC at theOC Life Saving Museum, check out the visitor center at Assateague Island, visit theShipwreck museum in Fenwick Island, head up to Northside Park out to the pier and look for wildlife along the pier, AND, take an ECO Tour with Ayers Creeks adventures.   Of course, you want to visit the world famous boardwalk.  Park or take the bus to the inlet (where the OC Life Saving Museum is), walk north to see the rides, the oldest Merry Go Round that is still in operation at Trimpers, the sky high ferris wheel at Jolly Rogers on the pier to get a great sky view of OC, the arcades, the world famous OC Ocean Gallery, and finally up to 1st - 2nd st to see the world famous religious sand sculptures in front of thePlim Plaza.  Also, be sure to get a few team building games with one of OC's great minature golf courses like  Old Pro Golf

Hello Tracey, I've personally been in a number of rooms at Park Place. I'm, confident that you'll find them to be clean and spacious. In my opinion this is a killer location - a short walk to all the action that the south end of the boardwalk provides, yet just far enough away, that you won't feel like you're staying in they middle of all the excitement.

You can find coupon books in the lobby of the Motel, or if you want to jump start your vacation you can get coupons by going here http://www.oc-coupon.com/

I am looking for approximate pricing on charter boat fishing and can't find anything. I would like to determine the price so I can determine if I want to pay for my family, 5 adults and 4 children under 12. Planning this ahead of time would be nice. Would you be able to give me a rough idea of a pp price please?

Crystal,

Here are some links to get you started.

               OC Girl - http://ocgirl.com/contact

Ocean City Fishing Center - http://ocfishing.com/

               Tortuga - http://www.fishingtortuga.com/ (don't miss the coupons)

               Captain John Prather - http://www.ocfishingguide.com/Rates.html

My children love to fish whenever possible while in OC.  We have taken the Tortuga several times and always have a good time.  The staff is wonderful, helpful, and keeps the trip interesting.

Hope you have a great time!  Don't forget to check out the vacation planning section of the ococean.com website.  Great tool to help you determine things to do during your stay.

Thank you,

Anna G.

Tracey,

The boardwalk shops, eateries, attractions, and activities will be open Memorial Day weekend.  It's a great time to visit OC to kick off Summer 2014!  There are several great hotels near the Inlet right on the boardwalk.  Check out Tidelands Caribbean, Hotel Monte Carlo, The Breakers Hotel.  If you visit www.ocisfree.com you may be eligible for free certificates for restaurants, shopping, attractions, etc. simply just for booking your stay through their site.

Hope you have a great stay!

Hello Bristor,

There are no trains that go into Ocean City.  Your best bet is to to take Amtrack to BWI and BWI to West Ocean City Via the bus.  This can all be done via the Amtrack web site.  http://tickets.amtrak.com/itd/amtrak
