You will find the most very loyal Raven fans at the Pit and Pub on 28th St just as you will find the most loyal Steeler fans at Buxy's across the street.  My favorite two places to watch the Raven's games is the Green turtle in north OC and Smitty McGees in west Fenwick Island.

GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!

The only OC calender I know of is the one published by local photographer Chris Parypa - he is an excellent photographer who we used to take family photos for us this summer. He did an awesome job!

You can see his work on his website or his Facebook page, and you can purchase his calender here for $25.

From September 16 to 30 May, oversized vehicles, including RVs, are allowed to park on OC's public streets and in their municipal parking lots, including the inlet parking lot. All year, including from 1 June to 15 September, RVs can park at the Park and Ride lot  in West OC. At no time of year can RVs park overnight in any of the public parking lots, but from mid September to the end of May they can park on streets overnight, but overnight sleeping in RVS parked on the public streets is prohibited.

If you need to spend the night in season, Castaways RV Resort (410.213.0097) and Frontier Town (800.228.5590) in West OC are both great options.

Are microphones permitted for wedding ceremonies on the beach?

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Yes, you should be able to use a microphone on the beach for your wedding, but you will need to provide your own power source.

To use the beach for your wedding, you need to coordinate a time and location with the Mayor's Office. You can call them at 410.289.8931 to do this. There is no fee. There is some more information here. There are limitations on the times you can do this, especially during the summer. The best times for small crowds and for picture taking are as the sun is rising or setting which gives the best light. Generally, you will have better light on the beach in the morning than in the afternoon since the sun rises over the ocean. To get married in OC, you first need to apply for a Worcester County marriage license. Call the Clerk of Court Office at 410.632.5500 to find out exactly what’s required, what documents are needed, when you can apply, and how long it takes.

Have a great wedding in OC!

I've been in OC lots of time in early November with my kids - there is lots to do for kids this age, especially on weekend. Here are a few ideas:

Walk the boardwalk. If the weather is nice many shops will be open including boardwalk favorites Thrasher's Fries, Dumser's ice cream, Fisher's popcorn (my favorite!), Candy Kitchen. They are almost always open on the weekends and sometimes on weekdays if the weather is nice.

If the weather is nice, it is a great time of year to rent bikes and ride along the boardwalk.

Play indoor mini golf at one of the two Old Pro Indoor Courses. They are open everyday. If the weather is nice you can play the outdoor courses too.

Another fun activity is the Horse and Carriage Rides available again on the boardwalk this year. Cost is $10/person. Find out more here.

Ride Go Carts - on nice days Baja Amusements in West OC often has a few tracks open and usually has the track for younger kids running on weekends.

Go to an Arcade - Marty's Playland is open everyday!

Take an Old Time Photo with the group - there are a few locations around town, listed on their website.

Play Laser Tag at Planet Maze. They are closed Tuesday-Thursday.

Take a drive down to Assateague to see the famous ponies, be sure to stop at the Visitor's Center to see their exhibits.

Go Ice Skating  at the Carousel.

Many restaurants are open year round, but some only on weekends. If you go to the Visitor's Center at the Convention Center, they usually have a list of what restaurants are open when for the off season. Most restaurants in large hotels are open year round.

Go bowling at 72nd Street Ocean Lanes. They have bumpers for lanes to make it more fun for the kids. Call ahead to check for lane availability (410.524.7550) and be aware, they take cash only.

Go see a movie.

Go to the Salisbury Zoo - It is about 30 miles away. It is a nice community zoo that is great for kids and it is FREE!

If you have not already booked your room, I suggest selecting a place with an indoor pool - That always provides some fun and is especially nice to have if the weather is not less than ideal.

Have a great time in OC! The picture below is from a weekend in early November a few years ago - you can see that plenty is going on!

I am with a photography company and we are looking to photograph for a clothing company on the beach with a Jeep. What are the policies with driving on the beach during the off season (it would be soon, in october or early november). Can we purchase a permit to be able to drive onto the beach or anything?

Your best bet would be to conduct the shoot on a weekday later in October or later if the town allows it.  You can try Public Works at 410-524-7715, The Police Dept. at:  410-723-6610, or City Hall at: 410-289-8221.

Your best bet is probably to take a Greyhound Bus from New Carrollton, Maryland Metro Station to Ocean City (call 800.231.2222 or go to https://www.greyhound.com/farefinder/step1.aspx to reserve tickets). There is one bus a day which leaves New Carrollton at 12:05PM and arrives in OC at 3:30PM. You don't need to change buses, and the 3.5 hour time is not bad for a bus trip to OC. Cost is between $30 and $60 dollars depending when you buy your ticket and other options you select. The Greyhound Station is at the West OC park and ride lot, but you can take a city bus form there to get to the transportation center at the south end of town where you can transfer to a bus that will take you anywhere in OC.

You can take the Orange Line of the Metro to get to New Carrollton from DC. If you need to go at anther time, try the Bayrunner Shuttle. To do this you will need to get to BWI Airport. To get to BWI from DC you need to take a Penn Line MARC train. You can get them at Union Station in downtown DC or from New Carrollton, MD which is on the end of the Orange Line of the Metro (co-located stations). Bayrunner Shuttle has regular service to OC with several shuttles per day. Cost is about $100. You can get specifics at http://www.bayrunnershuttle.com/east/default.aspHave a great trip!
