Hello! I'm looking to take a getaway with the family for a few nights -- possibly in the beginning of March. Could you point me in the right direction for specials, deals, etc.? Also, what establishments are open? Any good restaurants, games, rides? Thanks in advance!

You will find some things open in March, especially on weekend when the weather is nice. Fewer things will be open during the week. The busiest weekend will be 11-12 March when lots businesses will be open for the St. Patrick's Day Parade and festivities.

Your best bet is to go to the Convention Center Visitors Center at 40th Street (pictured above). They have all kinds of information, including paces running specials that week (they change often in the off season).

For ideas of things to do, take a look at this thread.

For restaurant ideas, look here.

Is there a bus that goes from South Bethany to Ocean City? This is specifically for Memorial Day weekend. Can you please provide the stop addresses (where they would pick up and drop off), hours of the bus schedule, and how much the cost is? I have heard of Dart Bus, but cannot find any information on the pick-up address for South Bethany. Are there any other options to get to and from these beaches?

The only such bus is the DART Bus.

There is a summer bus schedule for the DART bus that should be running by Memorial Day. They do not have the final schedule posted yet, but you can see the proposed schedule here. Scroll down (or search for) Route 208. It runs from Dewey to Bethany to Fenwick to OC's bus station at 144th Street. This schedule shows all the pickup locations. The Bethany stops are at Garfield Parkway at the Children's Park and at York Beach Mall. The bus will run hourly starting around Sunday 21 May 2017, from 7am to midnight.

You can find out more about the DART Bus 2016 beach routes here and here. The info has not been updated yet for 2017, but should be similar to 2016.

I am planning a bachelorette party for July 2017. There will be about 20 of us, and we are looking to rent a boat for the day to hit multiple restaurants and bars. Any suggestions on companies that offer the charter without the fishing would be greatly appreciated!

Have a great time at you bachelorette party! I have two suggestions for you:

Ocean City Swim Call - Offers lots of charter options and does lots of bachelorette parties. Their boat can handle a group your size. Call or text them at 443.235.4950 for more info.

Buzz Boat Water Taxi - This boat specializes in events like your. Unfortunately, their normal boat only hold 15 people, but if you call ahead, they may be able to arrange a larger boat to use for your group. You can reach them at 561.512.2727.

Is there a list of bands playing around Ocean City at the free events this year? If so, where can I find it?

There is no single list, and generally this info does not get posted until mid-to late Spring. Your bet bet is to watch these two pages for the info:

OCOcean.com events page

Free Family Fun page

There are free concerts as part of Springfest, Sunfest, Sundaes in the Park, Sunset Park Party Nights, and the 4th of July downtown and uptown Celebrations.

Am I able to purchase a brick for my husband at the Fire Fighters' Memorial if he was not a fire fighter, or victim of the attacks on Sept. 11? Thank you!

Yes, I believe you can still  purchase a brick thought the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Department. You can purchase it for to honor your husband, even if he is not a first responder or a 9-11 victim. Call the OC VFD at 410.289.4346 for more info. You can also get more information here and see the order form here. Cost for the brick is $100.

I'm getting ready to book my vacation, but wanted to ensure that the beach would be open. When will that be? Thanks!

I would love to answer your question, but for which concert??  There are concerts for Springfest and Sunfest fpr which you will find tickets on Ticketmaster and are assigned seats.  Concerts at the Convention Center are also assigned seats. There are concerts there all year long, plus during May Cruise. There are also concerts during Bike Week in September.  Free concerts on the beach are bring your own chair and you can sit where you like. Sorry I can't be of more help.
