Yes' in fact, the beach is open to the public all year round! The only time the beach is closed is daily from midnight to 5am when it is closed for cleaning and maintenance. Keep in mind that the lifeguards are now off duty until next spring, so swimming, while not prohibited, is discouraged.

As Darlene and Cathy stated, it is open all year long.  You will find people walking the shoreline all year.  The water is too cold to swim from October until April and lifeguards are only on duty from Memorial Day until September 30th.

Yes, the beach is open year round, but we don't advise going into the water when there are no lifeguards on duty.  The last day for lifeguards is Sept. 24th, so after that, please stay out of the ocean. There won't be anyone to help you if you get into trouble.  Until then,  have fun!
