The Ocean Commercial harbor is is located at 12806 Sunset Avenue, West Ocean City.  Boats come in from 2 pm to 4 pm usually.

Here is a video of the harbor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIt4wLgaqLQ

You can also go to Mickey Finns, the Shark or Sunset Grille and watch the boars come in.

The best time to see fishing boats come in is in the afternoon between 3 and 6pm. The best place is at the inlet at the south end of town. The best time of year is May - August, and the best week is White Marlin Open week in early August.

Hey Terri, this time of year is great to watch the boats come in and out of the inlet. it's so nice and you can see Assategue Island with the ponies running too. Even the spring and summer when it's nice and warm out and more boats going in and out then as well.

The best place is at the inlet in Ocean City, or you head to the fishing district in West OC to watch them.  They head out VERY early in the morning, and come back early in the evening. But while there are some larger shrimp boats, you won't see huge fishing boats like on Deadliest Catch.  Most are private charter fishing boats.  But still, they're so interesting to see.

Best to view fishing boats going out to sea and coming in with their catch at the Inlet. Early morning is a good time to see them headed out and mid to late afternoon is good to see some coming in.  All has to do with the weather and ocean conditions to know if it’s a good day for fishing out to sea or not. Take a chair and camp out for a while, you just never know when they’ll head back in or out

Another option is get a seat outside at the Frog Bar to get a view. Besides the boats going in/out of the bay you can enjoy views of Assateague Island and the water birds that splash down in the water.
